James Chuter Ede. Home Secretary 1945 Labour Government.

I have just started to study the 1945 Labour Government of which James Chuter Ede was the Home Secretary.
Looking at most of the other leading members of the cabinet there are many books available on most of them but I could only find one relating to James Chuter Ede, "LABOUR AND THE WARTIME COALITION: From the Diary of James Chuter Ede 1941-19451 at the nonsensical price of £40.00.

Would anyone care to venture an opinion as to why there are so few books on James Chuter Ede?

I am more than happy to give my opinion on anything and everything. First of all it is spelled labor and not labour. Second of all James Chuter Ede is unknown to Americans and third of all The British Isles are a sinking ship.

James Chuter Ede.

I have noticed that most Americans are more than happy to give an opinion although of course they are normally totally wrong.
If you had half a brain you would understand the English language and that Labour refers to the Labour Party, a far more democratic institution than any of the corrupt Tammany Hall institutions America has.
Of course being American you would have no knowledge of English politics. In fact as you showed the world many Americans had even less understanding of their own politics when they elected the idiot Donald Crump as President.
The British Isles are far from being a sinking ship although at the speed your teenage murders are killing of their school mates maybe it would be better if America sunk.

Now, now BML, not everybody in the US thinks as Twisted Sister does. On the other hand, a little detail about his personality: He's quite a teaser.

And nothing can change the fact that all the English-speaking nations are as tight as brothers and sisters.

Please accept my apology for our electing DJT president. I didn't vote for him to be clear.

Please, tell us about Mr Ede. I enjoy history, watched an amazing World PBS show last night on Dunkirk.

He was a happily married man, a moderate within the Labour Party, noted for running the office with little in the way of fuss and bother.
By all accounts he was a decent and respected man who’s life was probably a little too dull to make an author consider it worth writing a political autobiography about him

I’m a little disappointed with your remarks, I had thought you were a better man than that.

I am afraid that I take the bait of teasers to easily and I apologies for my offensive comments. I also apologies for not noticing that this is an American based forum.
As it is many many years when I was soldiering with the British Army I was attached to an American unit in Korea. The only thing I have against that period is that within the time that I was with them I put on enough weight to ensure that I had to have my uniforms let out.
