The death penalty for drug pushers

How do you feel about it?

I could consider it if the CEOs if the drugs companies were on the list, but of course the pres isn't talking about those folks.
Thanks from Hollywood, Lyzza and right to left

It's what pussy boys do when they are trying to act tough, they pretend they are tough, they talk about killing people and beating people up, like Pussy Boy Trump does, even though the only fight he's ever been in, was actually just his face photoshopped onto someone else.....but he retweeted it, because he thought it made him look tough.

So talk death penalty, but let the big money guys skip.....
Thanks from iolo, Camelot, Hollywood and 2 others

Well, the three of the worst dictators on the earth are his heros. Xi, Putin and Duterte.

He keeps wishing he could be just like them. And Duterte kills pushers so of course the Republican President wants to too.

Making deposits to the organ banks - free toaster?

In the present regime in the US, carrying out capital punishment is very expensive, & an exhaustive legal process, replete with special protections for the felon. In my opinion, it's not worth the financial nor social nor legal costs, to say nothing of the occasional miscarriage of justice when we (whoops!) execute the wrong person. Offhand, assuming that we can get around the cell-rupture problem when we freeze & then thaw a subject, I would prefer we freeze all the people currently on death row (after we can reliably bring corpsicles back to life, of course - reasonably healthy, sane, etc.)

Then kick the can down the road. Presumably in the future, we'll (they'll?) be better able to intervene in brain chemistry, or whatever it is that drives people to kill/murder, etc. If we can cure them then, fine. If we can't, we leave them in deep freeze. Either way, there's some potential for those otherwise blighted lives to amount to something better than mere bad examples.

Or is that not a concern anymore? I assume that we're still trying to rehab prisoners, if @ all possible.

I am generally against the death penalty being carried out by the state, unless, possibly, very extreme circumstances (i.e. the person has committed major offense responsible for the lives of many (or otherwise extremely cruel), displayed zero signs of remorse, nor ability to be rehabilitated in any way, and is still extremely dangerous (likely to repeat offense(s) indefinitely)).

Though, note, I do not have any deeply thought out views on the matter. As such, my position is tentative and subject to potentially change.

Not if it's a federal charge.

I'm against the death penalty in ALL cases - sometimes it's hard to make out a good reason for keeping some asshat alive - but murdering them is wrong.

Obviously, if I'm against the death penalty for even the most evil, heinous murderers, I'm certainly against it for drug dealers.
Thanks from Lyzza

DJ received big cheers, big applause when he talked about Sinapore's and Beijing's "zero tolerance" drug policies. In Singapore, a conviction for possession of 500 g., about 1,1 pounds, of the evil weed ends your life.

Red meat for the Coliseum attendees, h88. Watch it: https://youtu.be/2V8UABh0pDw?t=10s

He even took a backhanded swing at Melania. The man is utterly morally bankrupt.

They didn't until they found their voices and the legalization movement began.

But it's deeper than that. The Constitution does not grant the feds power to criminalize drugs. That's why the 18th Amendment was passed, to give the feds a way to criminalize alcohol.
