The president was referring to an article about the on-again, off-again summit meeting between Mr. Trump and Kim Jong-un, the leader of North Korea, which Mr. Trump had canceled Thursday.

The article, headlined, “Trump Says North Korea Summit May Be Rescheduled,” said that the United States was “back in touch with North Korea” and that the meeting might yet happen.

Trump's Tweet:
The Failing @nytimes quotes “a senior White House official,” who doesn’t exist, as saying “even if the meeting were reinstated, holding it on June 12 would be impossible, given the lack of time and the amount of planning needed.” WRONG AGAIN! Use real people, not phony sources.

It is not clear whether the president was simply unaware of the actions of his own senior staff or if he knowingly ignored the truth. The source of that sentence was a White House official who held a briefing on Thursday afternoon in the White House briefing room that was attended by about 50 reporters, with about 200 or so more on a conference call.

Lying again, Dear Leader (thanks Tristan!).

Actually NYT lied the first time, and now is lying again. Your article has already been debunked in detail, but you go ahead and post more fake news. It is so entertaining watching all the TDSers here high fiving and thanking each other over their own hysteria.

Read this article and debunk it if you can:

What is horrible about it? These parasites put their own children in peril. Who is accountable and responsible for this?

Haa! Well, first of all, the article was NOT MY article. I didn't write it. Michael Shear wrote it. I didn't report it. I wasn't at the briefing.

The opening paragraph says this: President Trump falsely accused The New York Times on Saturday of making up a source in an article about North Korea, even though the source was in fact a senior White House official speaking to a large group of reporters in the White House briefing room.

I talked to Ms. Google about the "debunking" you refer to and the only source I could find was the Federalist. Did any other reputable media debunk the Times?

Here's what I know for sure. The New York Times has won 125 Pulitzer Prizes. How many has the Federalist won?

If the New York Times is wrong, I'm sure they will print a retraction and then I will post that retraction, although I'm sure you'll beat me to it.

Finally, the article I posted was about "phony sources", NOT who said what--IF the word "impossible" was spoken.
Seems like you're getting your panties in a twist over nothing, but whatever floats your boat.

"Your" article refers to what you posted in the OP. Don't play semantics, it only makes you look foolish.

NYT and other fake news are not so keen on publishing retractions. You being sure about it means nothing. Fake news tend to keep moving the goalposts, as clearly outlined to you by the article that I posted. Even if they do publish a retraction, no TDSers will read it since they have already made up their mind, and most are just simply not interested in digging around even if one of their similarly minded TDSers pointed told them of a retraction. I am surprised you fail to understand the mechanics of how fake news work.

It is simply too much fun to analyze every word out of his mouth and try to spin it into a lie and then post it, tweet it, retweet it, all in the name of promoting and passing on fake news because it is fun to have a circle jerk with and make fun of and humiliate the man.

You can't debunk the article, but continue to push the fake news media because you are still enamored with the sensationalized headlines and opening statements, which gets you to start rubbing your hands together in glee. Proof is in the pudding with every one of your posts.

Again, read my article and debunk it if you can. It matters not if it is just one article. The facts and timeline is laid out. Debunk it.

Pulitzers are industry awards. Who gives a hoot except for people such as yourself that keep bringing up the pointless regurgitated talking points about the NYT have garnished an X amount? The MSM is anti-Trump. If I was a journalist and really wanted a Pulitzer, I'll write nothing but anti-Trump articles to get one. Pulitzers are worth less than even Nobel Peace Prizes which are endowed by a man that made his fortune through war, and are even more political.
Thanks from Sabcat and Athena

I don't think you understood what I meant to say, and you are a really smart person, so if you didn't get it, neither would others.

Trump is a power player. Nothing matters to him other than gaining power and probably wanting to go down in history as of one of the "Great Men" history talks about.

His made up stories about Hillary and spies etc. win elections. That is all that matters. Trump is not up for election this time around, but many Republicans are, and the goal is to get them elected. That is why the story of spies comes up at this time. To a sane person, if those spies existed that is old news. Why in blazes is it being treated as news now? Come on folks, this is such an obvious ploy to discredit Democrats and get Republicans hired. It is not news!!! See the word "new" in news?

Please, Republicans and Democrats, righties and lefties, homophobes and gays, Blacks and Whites, abortionist and pro-lifers stop attacking each other! What are the issues? What is your reasoning? Stop buying into the divide and conquer tactics and reactionary politics. See what is going on, name it and move on and for goodness sake, stop bashing each other because no matter what side you are on, bashing each other is the best way to get Republicans elected. Just like cheering for a football team can improve their morale and ability to win.

PS, this off topic, but abortion rates go down when Democrats are in office and go up when Republicans are in office because Democrats move to resolve the problems a parent faces. While Republicans take away that social support. Democracy requires reasoning, and that requires discussion of issues.

The US us supposed to stand for human rights, and if it can't even stand for the protection of children, then let the bombs fall on the US, because it is no longer the hope of the world.

Come on CC you're not THAT obtuse !!!!! You're redirecting the POINT. Trump said he was going to 100% enforce the law. Great, fine, wonderful, enforce away. BUT HE GETS TO TAKE THE HEAT FOR THE BACKLASH when he does !!! He DOES NOT get to turn around and blame HIS ENFORCEMENT POLICY on someone else !!!
Thanks from Camelot, Athena and Clara007
