Trump warns of riots if he can't be Republican presidential nominee

A metal-grinding train wreck is just up ahead. The R Establishment isn't going to give. The Cruz Tea Partiers aren't budging. And Donald Trump keeps on winning primaries, which is insane all by itself. Trump, on who he'd pick as his foreign policy advisors:
"I'm speaking with myself, number one, because I have a very good brain. I know what I'm doing. ... My primary consultant is myself."
Rock 'n' roll baby....

Trump warns of riots if he can't be Republican presidential nominee

US Republican front-runner Donald Trump warned on Wednesday of riots if he is denied the party's presidential nomination after a string of primary election victories, raising the temperature even more in a heated White House race.

The outspoken New York businessman scored big wins in primaries in Florida, Illinois, Missouri and North Carolina on Tuesday, knocking out rival Marco Rubio and bringing him closer to the 1,237 convention delegates he needs to win the nomination.

But Trump lost the crucial state of Ohio, and left the door open for those in the party trying to stop him from becoming the Republican nominee for the November 8 election.

Trump might fall short of the majority required, enabling the party's establishment to put forward another name at the July convention in Cleveland to formally pick its candidate.

In an interview with CNN on Wednesday, Trump said the party could not deny him the nomination should he fail to win enough delegates.

"I don't think you can say that we don't get it automatically. I think you'd have riots. I think you'd have riots. I'm representing many, many millions of people."

Recent outbreaks of violence during protests at Trump rallies have prompted President Barack Obama, a Democrat, and mainstream Republican figures to speak out against the billionaire.

In comments likely to raise more concern in the Republican establishment about Trump's lack of experience and temperament, the former reality TV show host said he was for the most part his own foreign affairs adviser.

"I'm speaking with myself, number one, because I have a very good brain," he told MSNBC's "Morning Joe" show. "I know what I'm doing. ... My primary consultant is myself."

...Trump's closest national challenger is first-term US Senator Ted Cruz, a Texan and favourite of the Tea Party who prides himself in being a grassroots conservative often at odds with Republican leaders.

He too warned of severe reactions against an attempt to stage a so-called brokered convention or contested convention to install a Republican candidate supported by party leaders.

"I think that would be an absolute disaster. I think the people would quite rightly revolt," Cruz told CNN.

If Cruz were an insider the inside-the-Beltway boys would have lined up behind him long ago. But they haven't. They despise him about as much as they despise Trump.

How does that GOP get out of this?
If the guy who gets the most votes is the nominee, he'll go down in flames in November, and drag the down ticket candidates with him.
If the party can conspire to deny him the nomination, he will not hesitate to tell his people, who are about a third of the GOP to stay home, and that kills the down ticket candidates.

Hillary is now the odds on favorite to be the next president, and the bookies have a better record than the polls for picking the winner.

So, the dumbfuck does not understand that his job is to listen to the advise of various experts in a given field, weigh the arguments and data. and make the decision as to how to proceed.

Such foolish arrogance alone should be enough to disqualify him as a serious candidate.
