The higher the profile of these cannabis businesspeople, the more at risk to federal prosecution—like when the Justice Department under George W. Bush went after Tommy Chong of "Cheech & Chong" fame for selling glass pipes across state lines. But beyond going after those engaged in legal recreational weed, what could Attorney General Sessions actually do to reverse the progress of legalizing marijuana?

Sessions won’t say, but Smart Approaches to Marijuana, an anti-marijuana group that spent about $2 million last year fighting legalization, has a wish list.

I don't think Trump will stomp on State's Rights. Sessions works for Trump and Trump is Chairman of the Board and CEO. If Sessions disobeys Trump, You're Fired! I am sure that Trump's kids have toked more than twice and they will make a plea to Daddy if Sessions goes crazy.

If anything I can see King Trump trying to get federal tax out of it. Tax Is a much more passive revenue than sending in storm troopers to just take whatever they want.

Jeff to me is a child's name, like Cindy.

Jeff Sessions sounds like a country music singer. "RCA recording star Jeff Sessions and the Shotgun Boys".

Maybe Jeff should smoke a joint before he judges everyone else.
Thanks from Sabcat

I would guess that 90% of the people who are against the pot have never tried it and 1/2 of the remaining are 12 steppers that became ultra religious.

And I was going to point out the irony of the right, who are constantly braying about states rights, being the one who would violate those rights by a renewed war on pot.

I've said for years we should not simply decriminalize but fully legalize, tax and regulate ALL the drugs.

Funny how Progs are suddenly for state rights on drugs (and immigration - though the Øbama administration argued successfully against state immigration laws - See: United States v. Arizona ). Laughably funny. Though drugs should be, on the whole, a state matter. Though the Pure Food and Drug Act, and the FDA. Should state law trump those as well? I can see it now, marijuana users demanding federal law to guarantee saftey and purity.
