Could Trump pave the way for ... President Oprah?

For years, Oprah Winfrey, the beloved matriarch of afternoon talk shows, has denied any possibility of a White House run.

But it appears she may not be ruling a presidential bid out entirely.

In an interview taped in December and published Wednesday, Ms. Winfrey implied that the election victory of President Trump had made her rethink whether she would be qualified to run the United States.

"I actually never thought I never considered the question even a possibility," Winfrey told interviewer David Rubenstein on the Season Two premiere of "The David Rubenstein Show: Peer-to-Peer Conversations" on Bloomberg Television. "I thought, 'I don't have the experience, I don't know enough.' Now I'm thinking, 'Oh, oh.' "

When presented with similar questions during other media appearances, Winfrey has dismissed the idea of a presidential run. In January, the media mogul told Stephen Colbert on "The Late Show" that running for president is "not my thing."

...But her reluctance hasn't stopped her many admirers from speculating and voicing support for an #Oprah2020 run on social media.

Even Mr. Trump himself has suggested that the daytime talk show star would be a good fit for the White House. In a 1999 interview with Larry King, Trump said he'd consider Oprah as a running mate if he ran for office a sentiment he repeated after announcing his presidential bid in 2015.

"I like Oprah," Trump told interviewer George Stephanopoulos. "I think Oprah would be great. I'd love to have Oprah. I think we'd win easily, actually." ...

Expect another handbaggate with President Oprah. I am referring to her outburst in an upscale handbag store in Switzerland.

She will run and she will win, though I think it will be after trumps 2nd term. The only reason she did not run this time was because it was "Hillary s turn"

This was one of the first things I said after trump won.

Its desperation. Just like Governor Beshear with the rebuttal was. The Democrat party is realizing that the working class is sick of them. They have lost their base and traded it for elites and Hollywood. Now, they are desperate to get it back.

Yes, I agree. My children are "working class" and they supported Donald Trump in the primaries. They told me they saw ..in him...the qualities and the experience needed to make their lives better. I began to pay attention and have come to realize that all the things he wants to do are what I have been missing in the past years, from our leader. Those are topped by ...America first.

AND why is that so hard to believe?? The 63-year-old mogul replied, I never considered the question even a possibility. I just thought, Oh. I thought, Oh, gee, I dont have the experience. I dont know enough. And now Im thinking, Oh.

Donald Trump opened Pandora's box. A man with absolutely NO qualifications--no relevant education--no common sense RAN for president and WON. Why shouldn't others do the same?? I can think of all kinds of possibilities: Bill Gates, Mark Cuban, George Clooney, Mark Wahlberg, Zuckerberg, Howard Schultz, or.....how about Kanya West??? HAAA.....just think of it. Whole new worlds of Liberals! AWESOME! AND you better get used to the idea because up until now it's been a politician, but that is no longer necessary. The sky's the limit and YOU let it happen. Congrats.
