Column Trump undercuts Tillerson with every tweet

It's hard for me to believe, but I like Tillerson, who seems like a fair-minded but tough-assed, gritty capitalist gentleman. He's the brightest of DJT's cabinet. His departure couldn't be a plus. DJT, however seems to be stupidly trying to run him off or humiliate him or both. It's all about Donald.
Column Trump undercuts Tillerson with every tweet

Last weekend, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson was hard at work in Beijing, trying to persuade China’s leaders to tighten economic sanctions on North Korea. The United States wants a peaceful solution, he told them, and sanctions could force Kim Jong Un to negotiate.

“We’re not going to accept a nuclear-armed North Korea,” Tillerson told reporters after his meetings. But, he said, “it’s going to be an incremental process to get there.... You’d be foolish to think you're going to sit down and say, ‘Okay, done, nuclear weapons are gone.’ This is going to be a process of engagement.”

He added, “The most immediate action that we need is to calm things down. They're a little overheated right now.”

Meanwhile, in the United States, President Trump erupted.
“I told Rex Tillerson, our wonderful Secretary of State, that he is wasting his time trying to negotiate with Little Rocket Man,” the president tweeted. “Save your energy Rex, we'll do what has to be done!”
In case those two tweets weren’t enough to convey the nuances of nuclear diplomacy, Trump added a third. “Being nice to Rocket Man hasn't worked in 25 years, why would it work now? Clinton failed, Bush failed, and Obama failed. I won't fail.”

It’s tempting to focus here on the astonishing humiliation of Tillerson. Presidents have overruled secretaries of State before, but normally they do it in private, without publicly undercutting their diplomat in chief.

And this wasn’t the first time. After Tillerson spent a week in the Middle East trying to negotiate a truce between Qatar and Saudi Arabia, Trump also disavowed his effort with a tweet. The two have disagreed openly about Russia, Iran and the Paris climate agreement — not exactly trivial issues.

Why does Tillerson stay? He won’t explain. If his goal is to turn himself into a human guardrail to stop Trump from driving foreign policy off a cliff, he deserves our thanks.

But it’s unclear that he can succeed....

There's a much bigger problem here than Tillerson.
Hundreds of jobs are still unfilled. Trump's "unique" key advisors/cabinet are quitting and Trump embarrasses and humiliates those who remain. Many have withdrawn their names from nomination. Some just fade into some black hole.
So exactly who is running the government?? WE KNOW for certain there is NO team on the field--at least no team that can work with Dotard....and why should they? GOP lawmakers are ducking town hall meetings like they're in the witness protection program. Congressional leaders are completely divided and contradict each other OR they're busy translating what Trump really meant and fluffing up his ego. It must be exhausting. Those who remain must see the daily train wreck and wonder "should I go or should I stay and hope this furthers my political career?"
The easy answer is this: It's time to quit. Get out while you can because the "BOSS" will chew you up and spit you out. Pretending to be loyal will not save your reputation, boys. There's no loyalty to be found in the Trump administration.
For Trump supporters?? You'll keep hearing what you want to hear---not that it means anything.

Meanwhile, the country can't win if the team isn't on the field, playing. AND right now there is NO team at all.

Trumps behaviour truly is bizarre. It as if he thinks the Executive Office is just a Reality TV show and he is the ego drive, jealous "Star". Why would he communicate instructions/directions to his SOS through a fucking Twitter?
Pretty sure the State Dept. and WH has some secure and private means of communication This shit is just crazy.

That is because dotard Don outsourced foreign affairs to his crooked and unqualified son in law. The Bannonites in the White House are at war with the State Department. This goes back to that nut job MacArthur and the China Lobby. These nut jobs keep repeating the same myopic mistakes.

The POTUS/SOS show might be a good cop/bad cop deal, but I doubt it, and if it is so, unfortunately the bad cop is Trump who can trump the good cop.

NBC is not backing down. See the video in the link below.

There are just too many sources and reports of the fact that Tillerman called Dotard Don a fucking moron to not give this claim a lot of credence. Tillerman has not denied it, rather he sidestepped when asked about it. His staff are the ones who have denied it.

And there are also too many sources saying that Pense and Kelly begged Tillerman to stay on in the Admin, even though he does say he never seriously considered leaving. His definition of seriously?
