Facts.
Politicians must sell themselves. Why are we making an issue of this?

More troubling to me is Trump's fear mongering. Fear is very powerful and fearful people make discussions people who are not fearful do not make. Is all the fear mongering rational, or just manipulative?

This link compares crowd size when Trump gave his inauguration speech and when Obama gave his inauguration speech. Maybe things changed a lot for the State of Union Speech? But I suspect Trump exaggerates things and I always think it is childish to claim the biggest crowds. That is such a none issue unless you have the mentality of a football fan.

We can support candidates around the country who stand against Trump. We can let all politicians know what we want and write letters to the editor, and use forums. Trump has the stage, but we can join the growing crowd outside the building and the voice of the many can drown out the voice of the one.

"We" are not "one of them" and we need to unite and turn things around. I am so sorry people did not watch him and learn what he intends to do. We should not stop watching this man. However, I have to admit as he went on and on with his fear mongering I couldn't stand it anymore and turned him off.
The growing crowd outside need to get jobs and become self reliant! The real crowd growing is the independents for Trump evidently, at least according to polls.

President Obama is a mixed up individual, it's not his fault because it was his life and how life's cards were dealt. Bi-racial that's not his fault, two hard core fathers, not his fault, lived all over the world, not his fault. Those things do have psychological effects on people.....I feel sorry for him.....He's a human being who God loves dearly. And I am working on it.

Ise I know not everyone agrees with him. To me his "we" sounds like a power statement that is an exaggeration of fact, and also divisive because not all of us are part of his "we" so his "we" is drawing a line the sand and going to get push back from "those people" who are not part of his "we". I much prefer I statements that leave room for me to disagree with the speaker.[/QUOTE]

We is inclusive, but you don't want to be included, is that it?

I could have not voted for him but he would still be MY President and I will respect him.

Least we forget, we took great pride in getting the USSR to tear down their wall. We should not take pride in building one.
Can you explain what the iron curtain (wall) was for please.

"Orrin is — I love listening to him speak. He said once I am the single greatest president in his lifetime. Now he's a young man, so it's not that much. And he actually once said I'm the greatest president in the history of our country, and I said, 'does that include Lincoln and Washington?' he said, 'yes.' I said, 'I love this guy.'"
Lie much?
When Newsweek asked Mr. Hatch’s office to confirm, a spokesman recounted the senator saying some similar-sounding words with a different meaning.

Mr. Hatch “has said that he would like to work with the president to make this the greatest presidency in history for the American people,” the spokesman said.

Perhaps that is something we should talk about. Following a man who uses fear to attract followers, and enhance his personal power, is something we should be aware of, and understanding the people who follow this leader is something we should strive for. We have a problem and it is not just one man behaving like Hitler, but the multitude that follows him.

Maybe Sens is a woman because.....you...know...how emotional we get, which is why we should keep our mouths shut and DO as we are told. LOL
