Yeah maybe if Democrats weren't holding Americans Hostage by preferring criminal invaders over vets and those children we could get somewhere

Sure 'nuff. Do you think spending more on defense than the next 14 biggest "defense" spenders ought to cover it?

Don't care as long as our soldiers have the best!

One-trick pony, eh. No I mean pressing needs like crumbling bridges and other infrastructure repairs, you know, the stuff your god talks about sometimes.

Cool do a deal this isn't about that! We would have much more money if we get rid of the criminal invaders who take so much of our resources.

And you are, to put it bluntly sir, full of shit if you think your side has some monopoly on respect for the military, and respect for our military members benefits. Time after time you display belief in the illusion that you raise yourself by putting others down.

So, christian....
I am stating an opinion it doesn't lift me above others, well other than thoise who support sanctuary cities, and weak borders, while treating our vets like shiite!

Don't you think it would 'honor the military' more to use that money to help the homeless vets and maimed vets and upgrade vet hospitals?

Or is that 'honoring' them too much for the right wing?

Do you really care about honoring the military or Dear Leader?

If Trump wants a parade, I'd suggest he write a check to cover the expenses.

Giving them a day where people could express their consideration, said i didn't think it was a good idea. I express my gratitude every time I see someone who served, or is serving. Shake their hand and thank them.

You are right, I didn't, tried to but a physical limitation kept me out, an injury as a child injured nerves in my leg. Never kept me from enjoying life but it was enough to TDQ me. However My Grandfather fought in WW2 lost his hearing he was artillery, and my Dad was in the Air Force During Vietnam.

Hmm can you read because this is from my first post on the thread.
Now I don't think we need to spend the money on such a thing, but maybe if we stop paying so much out to welfare, and criminal invader welfare, we could just give them the raise they deserve, and continue to provide them with technological advantages over their enemy!

My question was "HOW would such a parade show appreciation?"
Military people hate parades like that.
You want to show appreciation, give them an extra day off, improve the barracks, give them a raise, improve the VA hospital care, don't send them to be maimed and die in senseless wars, etc. etc.
Standing all day in the hot sun for a parade to massage the ego of ONE man is NOT showing them any appreciation.

https://www.newyorker.com/humor/boro...ing-bone-spurs

Harland Dorrinson, a Pentagon spokesman, said that, within an hour of Trump’s request, more than a hundred thousand military personnel complained that they were suffering from acute cases of bone spurs that would make marching in such a parade a painful ordeal.

“In the history of the U.S. military, we have never experienced a bone-spur epidemic of this magnitude,” the spokesman said. “Regrettably, however, we have no choice but to issue thousands of deferments.”
