Harsh, but true.
And had nothing to do with evil, greedy banks that were given a pass for a whole bunch of illegal activity?

The greatest scandal in US history has nothing to do with Russia or the Republican President. It is still that the CEOs of about 5 major investment banks aren't doing 20 to life.

Goodness Kate, you've got it completely backwards. The Doddp-Frank bill has nothing to do with providing loans to people who don't deserve them. NOTHING.

It was aimed at banks "too big to fail," and imposed reserve requirements on them. Today, those banks support the partial repeal of Dodd-Frank. Why? They argue that they have increased their cash reserves. But why is that so? Hold on.

Because of the reserve requirements imposed by Dodd-Frank!!!!

You seriously cannot believe that the good ol' greedy boys who gambled with people's money will self-regulate? You know, the good ol' greedy boys who planned business failures that included golden parachutes for themselves....

Dodd-Frank prohibited banks' investing in hedge funds. It required regulation and oversight of credit default swaps, credit rating agencies, and insurance companies.

The glaring fault in Dodd-FranK? It did not go far enough. Many of the revisions imposed on it increased the president's power over the agencies charged with financial market oversight.

Trump is funny! And certainly unorthodox when it comes to politics, but do you think WWIII will break out any time soon? Jesus, they did the same thing with Obama. "Be afraid, be very afraid".
Sorry, I don't buy any of it.
He's already put the next major financial collapse in place, it just hasn't happened yet, but it's all in place, the enormous deficits, the lack of regulation that will allow the banks to position themselves just like they were positioned in 2007, the lack of a coherent infrastructure plan....it's all there, it may be a few years, but it's all in place.

LOL...that one cracks me up every time. The belief that Big Business can be trusted to do the right thing when nobody is watching. The gullibility of the GOP voters is stunning on this issue, frankly. The GOP politicians know exactly what they are doing though....filling their pockets with graft bucks

We have the same two rotten political parties involved with some socialist in the democratic party. When they (socialist) gain control of the democratic party a solid push will be to ban GUNS.
2024, in my opinion will be the breakout year for the socialist. The leadership in the democratic party indicates that...
Confusing democratic socialist with socialism I see.
At least the koch brothers are getting their money's worth

In fact, inarguable fact, business has an awful track record of regulating itself.

What "capitalism" has shown time after time: Naked greed drives the priorities of most capitalists. They will pass off onto the public sector each and every business expense until the people through their representatives say STOP,and even then big business will deploy it's lobbyists and layers and fight tooth and nail over being required to do what they should have done to begin with.
