The first thing they lost was facts. Since January 2017 they have to look up that word in the dictionary.
Liberals wanted high unemployment...they didn't get it. Oh wait, that was Trump. Are "facts" getting in your way?

I saw the pictures of him as Hitler.
I watched them shut down the government and hurt the entire nation twice.
I watched them turn their backs on every opportunity to open worthwhile dialog.
I watched them say that they would not even listen to any choice for Supreme Court no matter who the nominee was.
I listened as they openly said that they will oppose him at every turn.
I watched as they did just that.
I listened.
I watched.
I paid attention.
Now, I'm being called on to be tolerant.
To move forward.
To denounce protesters.
To "Get over it."
To accept this...

I will not.

I will do my part to make sure this great American mistake becomes the embarrassing footnote of our history that it deserves to be.
I will do this as quickly as possible every chance I get.
I will do my part to limit the damage that this man can do to my country.
I will watch his every move and point out every single mistake and misdeed in a loud and proud voice.
I will let you know in a loud voice every time this man backs away from a promise he made to them.
Them. The people who voted for him.
The ones who sold their souls and prayed for him to win.
I will do this so that they never forget.
And they will hear me.
They will see it in my eyes when I look at them.
They will hear it in my voice when I talk to them.
They will know that I know who they are.
They will know that I know what they are.

Do not call for my tolerance. I've tolerated all I can.
Now it's their turn to tolerate ridicule.

Be aware, make no mistake about it, every single thing that goes wrong in our country from this day forward is now Trump's fault just as much as they thought it was Obama's.
I find it unreasonable for them to expect from me what they were entirely unwilling to give.

Oh stop you whining.....Your side relentlessly attacked G.W. Bush... Then when Obama got his share of it, suddenly it becomes justification to attack this President relentlessly.... Talk to me 10-15 years from now and we will see what the 2 Trump administrations amount to..

I am not so stupid as to think I am ever going to get respect from a bunch of condescending, arrogant, spiteful elitists that supported (and still do) Hillary Clinton.... And neither do I want or need their phony respect..

I never really supported Clinton - I didn't vote for her in the primary, though I did in the general because I am definitely an 'anybody but Trump' voter.

However, though your preface is wrong, it's true that if you're a Trumpeteer, you will probably not get any respect from a democracy loving American patriot. We're pretty much against tinpot tyrants and wannabe kings.

Like the trumpers over there, the Brexiteers here demand power and respect and attempt constantly to bully others because they represent Ze Vill of ze Peepul. Alas, like the trumpers, they are either very old, very nasty or very ignorant, and respect is the one thing they'll never get, poor old dabs!
Thanks from tristanrobin

Considering Trump's erratic and chaotic behavior at the G-7 TRUMP'S "earned" respect will be even longer in coming.

First he suggests that Russia belongs BACK in the arms of our allies.
Then he arrives late on Saturday morning--makes a big entrance--of course.
Next in his wide-ranging news conference he claims to have VERY CLOSE PERSONAL relationships with, among others, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
But after reading Trudeau's comments Trump seemed to have a change of heart because Justin (Sabcat's BFF) kind of insulted Donny and we can't have that without a nasty retort like: Very dishonest and weak, Justin. Shame on you.
Naturally Trump's ass-kissers jumped in to say "BETRAYAL, JUSTIN" and "HE stabbed us in the back."
AND Peter Navarro (another cult member) doubled down by saying "There's a special place in hell for any foreign leader that engages in bad faith diplomacy with President Donald J. Trump and then tries to stab him in the back on the way out the door..."
Reminder: This is CANADA we're talking about.

ARE you asking..."what in the world did Trudeau say?" Here it is and it's shocking:
"Canadians, we're polite, we're reasonable, but we also will not be pushed around."

AND what is the title of this thread?? Trump Supporters Want Respect.

Don't make me laugh. A sitting U.S. president praises Korea's dictator and Russia's murdering KGB thug, but disrespects a Canadian prime minister??

I don't think so.
Thanks from tristanrobin, imaginethat and iolo

Despite the economy in the toilet. Iraq and Afghanistan still not stable. etc etc etc Mitch McConnell said the GOP's NUMBER ONE PRIORITY was to make Obama a one term president. They said their entire plan could be summed up in three words. OBSTRUCT, OBSTRUCT, OBSTRUCT, and they then proceeded to DOUBLE the old record for the number of filibusters in one session. That matched that number every year for the entirety of Obama's presidency.

So yeah, don't whine to us about how Trump is getting treated. Especially when he brings most of it on himself.
