God bless he,r my own step daughter is a Trumpanzee. Struggling single mom trying to raise her daughter. I can't for the life of me imagine why she thinks Trump will ever do anything for her.
Maybe she does not expect for Trump to anything for her. Maybe she just realized that liberal policies make it impossible for her to do something for herself.

I am pretty sure the oil industry ramping back up and the economics of that are going to offset the bump in gas price.

Except that she is using OBAMACARE for health insurance for both herself and daughter !!!! Shen now makes too much for her daughter to qualify under the state's insurance program for kids. If Trump had had his way she'd now be completely UNINSURED !! See I just don't get it. Shen is directly benefiting from an Obama era program while simultaneously supporting a man that has tried repeatedly to do away with that program.

Typical oil industry bullshit !!!!

They use Trump pulling out of Iran as an excuse to raise prices. I see an article about ocean going ships needing low sulfur fuels which will keep oil prices high for the time being. All of this just before the long weekend of course.

Then just yesterday there's an article saying that OPEC and Russia are going to bump production to "stabilize prices".

Just excuses for oil companies to gouge us at the pump for the holiday weekend.

I find it rather interesting that by saying, "It's his base. They lost.", the author is claiming to speak for his base while at the same time pointing out that she's not part of his base, by saying "they" instead of "we". This is typical modus operandi stuff of the Left, trying to impose themselves into speaking for a group of people, regardless of whether or not that group of people wants any Lefties to speak for them.

Anyways, I think in the long run we'll have a better idea of how well Trump is performing as the bigger picture comes more into focus. I won't hesitate to reconsider my support for Trump's economic policies if it turns out that the result is a poorly performing economy in the long run; I'm not ready just yet to say that Trump has my support for re-election.
Thanks from Sabcat

The cost at the pump doesn't respond that quickly. The quoted crude prices are always futures. But even spot prices aren't being paid by the refineries till delivery, and then it takes weeks for that oil to become gas and get to your dealer.

The pump price surge on long weekends is just local business gouging. No different than most hotel/motels and some restaurants along the freeways do for long weekends and the summer. What the traffic will bear.

And of course, the EPA has a higher spec for gas in the summer which hurts too. That one I don't understand.

Actually summer grade fuels are LESS volatile that winter grades. Winter grade fuel require more of the light end component to make sure they're able to light in cold weather. Summer grade fuel have fewer of those components so they don't create a thing call vapor lock and other driveability issues in hot weather.
Thanks from RNG and Sabcat

Yes. After my post displaying my ignorance, I decided to join the 20th century and use this valuable tool called the internet to investigate this. The also stressed the safety and environmental issues related to high evaporation rates.

But what strikes me is that in Canada we don't do this. And it seems based on the limited reading I did, the US south, which stays pretty warm through the winter from this igloo-weller's perspective and the the northern states have the same transition.

More eye candy?
