Any 'conservatives' care to comment

about McCain hiring William Timmons, a well known lobbyist that worked for Saddam Hussein to ease sanctions against Iraq before the war, to head his transition team?

McCain could have possibly hired him. He died last year.

William “Dave” Timmons, 57, and a native of Paducah, Ky., and resident of Hahnville, died Wednesday, June 6, 2007.

Timmons

He is survived by his wife, Suzanne Gautreaux Timmons; his father, Preston Timmons; his step-mother, Dorothy Timmons; his mother, Lula Mae Cossler; his stepfather, Chuck Cossler; two sons, Bill Timmons and wife, Karin Sandstrand, and Jeremy Timmons; two brothers, Danny and Raymond Timmons; three sisters Helen Gilbert, Marie Cullen and Carolyn Montgomery; and six stepsisters.

Why would McCain hire someone to help improve his campaign. He's fighting a losing battle? But then Reagan trailed Carter in the polls, and won anyway.

Not to improve his campaign, to head his transition team.

Not that he's going to need a transition team.

The man is a lobbyist, he is paid to work on behalf of a company or individual but that does not mean that he supports or believes in the ideas of his client. So he lobbied for Hussein big deal, Obama worked on behalf of Acorn, Acorn is under investigation for voter fraud in 13 states, under you assumptions, Obama must be guilty as well. Furthermore, Timmons job will end after the positions are filled. He is assisting in filling some 3000 possible positions within the government, and with the new vetting processes in place that needs to begin well in advance as to allow for all the Security Clearance checks that are now needed.

Since you liberals have no problem with Obama's associations with Rev Wright and Bill Ayers what is your point.

Timmons may have lobbied on behalf of Saddam, he did not go around from the pulpit yelling God Damn America, nor did he say that he wished that he had done more bombings against americans. He engaged in a legal activity, lobbying Congress, ultimately it was Congress's decision. Unlike Ayer and Wright.
