Let me guess, you have never put on a uniform for baseball, Baseball or Footballl and war. Never had your ass on the line or over the top let alone a strikeout?

Special flake, let men lead.

you couldn't be more wrong .
Team sports analogies !
You are the font of hackneyed redneckisms.

Gotta give you credit for that.
Putting on a uniform is a sign of a follower not a leader.
You no more a man than I.
my manhood was proven long ago.

Uniforms

Mr. Daws77, do you refer to all uniforms or just sports teams' uniforms?

I find that sweeping generalizations are often a way to ignore or dismiss the complexities of difficult issues.

I would like to hear something a bit more thoughtful from you as your concern about current events is quite clear, and that concern is admirable in my opinion.

For example, certainly uniforms can and often do indicate what or whom a person follows, however the leaders likewise wear uniforms. In my personal experience a uniform was a sign of a team, whether a sports team, a work team, or a professional team.

As a member of a trauma response team at a local hospital I wore a "uniform" that allowed me to be quickly recognized as part of that team when seconds counted. I was grateful for the physicians who led that team; I looked to them for direction in difficult circumstances. That uniform carried a certain respect, but most importantly, a great responsibility, a fact I never forgot.

Just something to consider Mr. Daws77.

I was using the uniform metaphor as a way to discribe the physiological effect it has on some people.
Certain people will wrongly make value judgments on appearance and Character by what is basically fashion.
My experience say respect is earned not worn.

I've worn many uniforms and none
I've managed crews of hundreds and the only sign of my authority was an crew chief id.
I've worn a formal uniform to clean restrooms.
Hope that helped.
