We can compare your idea of liberals with my idea of conservatives point by point.

1. Conservatives know what is best for gay people by saying that they can't legally marry or adopt children.
2. Claim to be well informed even though they get their news/talking points from FOX and/or Breitbart.com
3.Think that Hollywood actors and actresses should shut up on their political views but fawn over people like Hannity and Limbaugh.
4.Drives a beat up pick up with their "Real Men Love Jesus" bumper sticker.
5.Believes in the rights of everyone except for gays, Muslims and atheists.
6.Thinks that judges "legislate from the bench" when they make a ruling they disagree with.
7.Believes that people who are poor are always to blame for their situation.
8.Believes Climate Change is a hoax/conspiracy despite overwhelming scientific evidence.
9.Thinks people need an ID to vote but cry about reasonable laws that try to keep dangerous weapons out the hands of dangerous people.

Clara, regardless of what you believe I am or not really has no value and I will let you in on a well kept secret. Mr Trump is no Republican and what he intends to do is not lock step with the Republican Party.

This time I voted to get results, right or wrong only time will tell. In the meantime can I borrow your crystal ball?

WE absolutely agree on at least one thing: Trump is no Republican and he's not in lock step with anyone.
My crystal ball is out of commission for now and has at least one big crack so I don't think you want it.
Thanks from Toefoot and Daws77

I think you want to read the Op again. The subject is progressives and does not really address liberals, to compare the two is fighting words. You may have noticed I gave 3 examples in order to clarify this mysterious creature. Let's not get emotional and keep calm, stay on task.
Thanks from Sabcat

What are 5 major difference between "a progressive" and "a liberal?"
Or three, if you can't come up with five. No fantasy please, be prepared to prove what you state.
Thanks from Toefoot and Daws77

Hey, after 50 some posts at least he actually addressed the OP. The rest are just reinforcing it.
Thanks from Toefoot

Progressive, liberal, whatever you want to call it. The point is that you disagree with a political ideology and you listed some attributes of it that you find objectionable. I was just pointing out that opposing ideology (that I assume you adhere to) can be vilified using similar attributes.
Thanks from Hollywood, Toefoot and Daws77

Brotherman, I lost track after the Kennedy democrat. You tell me the five differences between a prog and liberal are and I betcha I can find thousands that will argue with you.

Even the Reagan democrat is long gone. The way I see it is the liberal took over the democrats and now the progressive is pushing out the liberal. When it comes to voting all three vote party line.

Same goes for the other side. Having said this things will get very messy as division grows deeper.

Reagan/Goldwater Republicans are gone too. If you think Goldwater could find a place in the current GOP you're sadly mistaken.
Thanks from Hollywood
