I knew Jimmyb was stupid enough to believe this whole gay is a choice stuff but I never figured you for a Michele Bachmann type. Do you support her husband's conversion therapy business?
Thanks from Twisted Sister and Daws77

I support on the job power naps but unfortunately my last boss didn't. I support E85 because it saved me ten dollars on my last fill up and am doing my fair share weaning Americans off fossil fuel. I support Bill Maher, "Fuck Mars!"

...and when did I ever say any of that? You are just full of fallacies today, aren't you? Glass houses pumpkin, glass houses.
Thanks from Jimmyb

I'm not sure if E85 really "saved" you any money. Keep an eye on your mpg. I can run a blend in my car for increased hp but will loose mpg. I am thinking about getting a better fuel pump so I can run even more but from my understanding it almost doubles your fuel consumption. Though the gains are significant.

I won't mention who told me that I will feel increased performance with E85 when I already knew ethanol has less energy than regular gasoline. My almost new pickup truck is Flex Fuel and have only put regular in her since I bought her, I named her Blue Angel. After one year of regular I filled up with E85 two days ago because I was prodded into it by an old shipmate. The Blue Angel lost the throaty Ford sound and when I put the pedal to the metal felt decreased performance. E85 saved me ten dollars on the fill up and I live on a fixed income which I have to take into consideration. It takes me two months to run through a full tank and next time I will try Premium. This is an experiment in progress.

edit: Why would you want a better fuel pump? An electric fuel pump was all the rage back in the day. If you are seeking more HP by installing a better fuel pump then you also have to address the air intake and exhaust system.

I don't know how it affects a flex fuel car but you can defiantly extract more power from it but not of the engine is operating the same. I change the tune on my car when I change fuel. just from going from 91 to 93 I see around a 20 whp gain according to the tuner. I can definitely tell. Bubba knows all of the specifics behind it if you are interested.

To edit

To run e85 I would need to pump more fuel than I currently am. I already have a low pressure and high pressure pump. They will do it but rapidly fail. My car is a direct injection turbo. Besides downpipes the exhaust system has little to no effect on performance. It would just bug my neighbors and wife. I have already changed my intake and installing a larger intercooler soon.

When you see a diesel semi-truck putting out a lot of black smoke, at least one bad turbo. The Turbo has ceramic bearing that rotate 10,000+ RPM and are very expensive and have a short life span. In 1988 I rode in a turbo Mazda and it had get up and go.

edit: Dump the turbo. Go back to a free breathing engine like the Aston-Martin.
