By day 28, however, there were no significant differences among the groups on any of 10 different tests, and no significant association between cumulative lifetime marijuana use and test scores
This is across ALL GROUPS. oops

Brain damage is a common and potentially severe consequence of long-term, heavy alcohol consumption. Even mild-to-moderate drinking can adversely affect cognitive functioning (i.e., mental activities that involve acquiring, storing, retrieving, and using information) (1). Persistent cognitive impairment can contribute to poor job performance in adult alcoholics, and can interfere with learning and academic achievement in adolescents with an established pattern of chronic heavy drinking (2). A small but significant proportion of the heaviest drinkers may develop devastating, irreversible brain-damage syndromes, such as Wernicke-Korsakoff syndrome, a disorder in which the patient is incapable of remembering new information for more than a few seconds (3).
And that ain't for 28 days, that's forever.

These are long term effects.

Impaired thinking and ability to learn and perform complex tasks
Lower life satisfaction
Addiction (about 9% of adults and 17% of people who started smoking as teens)
Potential development of opiate abuse
Relationship problems, intimate partner violence
Antisocial behavior including stealing money or lying
Financial difficulties
Increased welfare dependence
Greater chances of being unemployed or not getting good jobs.33

Not much different than Ethanol use.

In general, here’s how long cannabis can be found in your system:
For single use: up to 8 days
For frequent use:*up to 15 days
For regular use: up to 30 days
For heavy use:*up to 45-77 days
Cannabis is a plant. It's never found in your system.

THC and other cannabinoids can be found in your system. However, the active forms, the ones with psychoactive effects such as THC, quickly peak after ingestion, within 15-20 minutes if inhaled. The inactive forms, the THC metabolites, peak within ~2 hrs.

The inactive metabolites can be detected in urine or blood for up to 28 days, or even longer.

Source: THC metabolism

One repeated mistake found in "mainstream" (i.e. fake news) websites regarding THC is no distinction is made between active THC and inactive THC metabolites.

So is ETOH, it is made from Grains.

ETOH and THC are created from the processing of plants.

One is processed by fermentation the other is created by the process of burning.

Please let me try again.

The active cannabinoids, the ones with psychoactive effects such as THC, quickly peak after ingestion, within 15-20 minutes if inhaled, 2-3 hours if ingested. At the same time, the body begins to metabolize the THC. Metabolized THC is inactive. It doesn't get you high. The inactive forms, the THC metabolites, peak later within ~2 hrs if inhaled and 3-4 hours if ingested.

The inactive metabolites can be detected in urine or blood for up to 28 days, or even longer.

One repeated mistake found in "mainstream" internet authorities on cannabis websites regarding THC is no distinction is made between active THC and inactive THC metabolites.

That is a scientific inaccuracy. In plain talk, it's wrong.
Thanks from RNG and Sabcat
