Medical marijuana users ‘have 30 days’ to turn in their guns, police say

Quote:

If you use medical marijuana, you must turn in your guns.

That’s according to the Honolulu Police Department, which has been sending out letters to legal users of medicinal weed that they must forfeit their weapons, as reported by multiple news organizations.

The first legal medical marijuana dispensary opened in Hawaii this August, according to the Associated Press, even though medicinal pot was first legalized in 2000. There are currently 29 states that have some form of legalized medical pot.

But the drug is still illegal under federal law, which trumps any laws on weed that states may pass, Joshua E. Jackson, spokesman for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), told LeHigh Valley Live in Pennsylvania.

It's ridiculous. The federal government has no constitutional right to criminalize drugs, including alcohol. The 18th Amendment proved that.

But, AG Sessions must be giddy.
"We need grown-ups in charge in Washington to say marijuana is not the kind of thing that ought to be legalized, it ought not to be minimized, that it's in fact a very real danger."

"I think one of [Obama's] great failures, it's obvious to me, is his lax treatment in comments on marijuana... It reverses 20 years almost of hostility to drugs that began really when Nancy Reagan started 'Just Say No.'"

"You can't have the President of the United States of America talking about marijuana like it is no different than taking a drink… It is different… It is already causing a disturbance in the states that have made it legal."

"Good people don't smoke marijuana." --- Jeff Sessions
Makes me want a shot of tequila. Alcohol, the good ol' boys drug........

Good ol' boys drink whiskey, Bourbon to be exact, and not fermented cactus juice.

Obama did fail biggly in the weed department. He should have made a stand on the issue instead of just bill clintoning it. He put entrepreneurs in places like Colorado in a really dangerous spot. They have years built into a business that the feds can just swoop in and take at will. Shit they still cannot operate as a real business.

Kinda fucky if ya ask me.

Also fuck sessions.

It is illegal to carry and while intoxicated,

Difference in Alcohol and Pot is:

If you drink 8 hours later you are sober

If you smoke pot (regularly) it takes 28 days for your impairment to disappear.
