Unintended consequences of the #metoo movement.

People, especially wealthy, famous or otherwise holding some sort of position of power or authority will now start to record their sexual encounters be the recordings consensual or not.

Just making a recording could be a crime in & of itself. That's true of recording a 'phone conversation without permission, & even more so a video recording (I assume) with sound. That would be too close to grounds for blackmail, & possibly incriminate the perp - especially if the partner is below the age of consent, or intoxicated or drugged or otherwise under duress.

You'd have to check your local jurisdiction. The capture of sexual video would always be illegal, without the partner's consent, as far as I know.

That OK. I'm sure the penalty for that is one hell of a lot less severe that the penalty for rape.

Yes, it most likely will/would be a crime but also a failsafe against false accusations.
