Yes....You got that straight....Liberals are a bunch of nut-jobs, so why wouldn't they have a "senile old goat" as their mentor or spokesman??....Makes perfect sense to me...

You are not even trying to make sense. YOU are the one taking him seriously and simultaneously say he's senile. If you people would just stop purposely playing the fool.

Are you saying that senile people are not making monumental decisions that effect all the rest of us??

Got a hot flash for 'ya....Just because someone is senile does not mean they are not dangerous, and should not be taken seriously....Wake up!!

If you would be honest (which you can not be) you would see that the 2nd Amendment is the big obstacle in gun confiscation....Eliminate that and then confiscating guns is child' play..

What, (In your limited view) does the 2nd Amendment stand for??
He cannot answer that as it would require thinking for himself. Maybe someone will ask that question of one 9f his handlers and they will respond publicly. Until then all camel can do is tow the party line.

You must read more closely and shoot your mouth off less. Justice Stevens lays out the history of the Second Amendment quite nicely IMO. I posted his opinion in post #7.

Stevens’ historical understanding mirrors what I have been saying all along. Especially his point about sawed off shotguns being banned in 1939 because the Court could not find how doing so would be an infringement of a well regulated militia.

US v Miller....and that was a flawed ruling...because there was military use for a sawed-off shot gun....It was called a trench gun..... In Vietnam, tunnel rats used them because they are more maneuverable in a confined area and are devastating at short range....

Read the case....Miller and his partner (who died before the case came before the SCOTUS) never showed up for the case...The SCOTUS just ruled as it saw fit and made up the stupid excuse that the sawed off shotgun had no military use..
Thanks from Sabcat and Longshanks

You missed this: Combat Shotguns of the Vietnam War

They were used in WWI, as well.

The ruling was wrong.

Nope, as Stevens said, for 200 years there has never been any doubt about the Constitutionality of regulating fire arms in this country. A well regulated militia means just that. It would be perfectly constitutional to ban assault rifles.
