Oh you mean like we Americans were squashed when we kicked some redcoat ass outta here?

Even if we Americans did get squashed, fine - why do you think there were expressions like "give me liberty or give me death", or "live free or die"?
Thanks from Sabcat

One thing learned from the ME conflicts is that it is not necessary to defeat the Army, just spread enough chaos, terror, etc. among the civilian population as to make it impossible for the government to govern effectively and panic the civilian population to the point they cannot resist the political pressure to settle the conflict.
It's a joke to think lightly armed civilians could match a professional Army in open armed conflict.
That's why the 2nd Amendment doesn't mean that as long as you have a weeny little pea shooter your rights aren't being infringed; it means you can have whatever arms you want, which is everything - bombs, tanks, grenade launchers, nukes, etc.

The redcoats were a professional Army, and it was with heavily armed people that they got their asses kicked outta here.

@Neil

You think civilians should be allowed to have nuclear weapons?

Technically "arms" does not mean the same thing as weapons and is considered non crewed- served weapons normally carried and used by individual infantrymen.
Today of course that means light MG, shoulder fired anti- aircraft and anti-armor missiles, claymores, explosives, anti-personnel land mines, hand grenades, a host of weapons.

Nonsense. You cannot gather a gang of like-minded, untrained people, hand them AR-15's, and call them a militia. It's an armed mob.

It's no longer the later part of the 18th century, now get over it.

Ummmm heavily armed people? are you joking? Washington's army spent a lot of time running and getting their butts kicked because they didnt have money, food, clothes even, and they were also very low on guns.
Thanks from Camelot
