Harvard will hold black-only graduation ceremony

Quote:

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Black graduate students at Harvard University will soon be a part of a first-of-its-kind ceremony.

On May 23, the prestigious university will hold an individual ceremony for black graduate students, according to a report by The Root. The ceremony, which took a year to plan, celebrates “fellowship,” not “segregation,” Michael Huggins, a graduate student who will receive a master’s degree in public policy from the Harvard Kennedy School this month, told The Root.

If they play their cards right maybe next year they can have separate bathrooms and drinking fountains. Way to go progressives this sure is progress.

Seperate graduation, unable to get a free ID to vote, affirmative action to get into college, affirmative aciton to get jobs, protected class under Title VII, etc.

I do not think blacks realize how unequal they present themselves to be or how unequal liberal legislators and courts have made them look.

Then Maxine Waters is out there adding to that. Meanwhile, conservative blacks are trashed by the MSM, and by Democrats.

Has anybody who is whining about this (privately funded) commencement actually spoken to anybody involved to find out the reasoning behind it and self-examine why it makes a damn bit of difference to you?

No need. All I need to know is that if it were reversed and a group wished to do the same thing but w/ whites not blacks the progressives (including you) would be freaking and out crying racism.

The end.

You mean, reverse racism? Does this mean you would have no problem with a Whites only commencement, if privately funded? How about a privately funded Whites only college? See any problem with that?

I cannot argue racism with people who cannot grasp that when you are in the position of privilege, power, and authority, keeping others out is strengthening and more deeply entrenching the position of power.

That is why people fought for women to be allowed join male-only clubs, but nobody cared that the D.A.R. is female only.

Until you are able to grasp those complex ideas, there is no point in discussing it with you. Your responses are the equivalent of "some people do go both ways."

Yeah, the leftist meme that blacks cannot be racist. How foolish is that? Very.

And where in the constitutions can we find that men only clubs are to be forbidden?

If you expected a response, please re-read my post above yours.

Blacks can be prejudiced and biased - they cannot be racist.
