The microwave, Satan's weapon of choice?!?

Apologies if this has already been posted. I couldn't see a thread on this.

We've had a lot of religous nutters threads, and this fits right in.

Eva Mauldin claims Satan saw her husband as a threat, and made him microwave their baby.

Full article here.

I had a dorm roommate in college who thought the fire alarm in our room was possessed of a demon.

But he wasn't particularly religious. I think in his case, it was too much recreational drug use that caused him to think that way.

Sorry to be overly sensitive, but I don't find this terribly funny. The kid got cooked alive. That's just ghastly.

I dont think anyone was trying to be funny towards the story but yeah this is something not to joke around.

But this just falls on the stupidity of the husband.... The wife "compelled" the husband to cook the infant? What the fuck man know some common sense and/or stand up to your wife and tell her shut the fuck up you are crazy if im gonna cook our child.....

Then he blames it on stress which the wife denies.

These people need HELP

Don't you EVER feel sorry for having a heart, for having humanity.

I am not yet in the place where I feel my own heart or humanity toward the baby's parents. I don't even know if I will get there...

I don't see a problem with hating them. They did an atrocious thing.

No joke was intended on my part.

Awful behaviour aside, I can't help but feel if there was a Satan, and he did feel threatened, that something more than a microwave would be in store.

The child is lucky to be alive.

Here's what just now occured to me...

How anyone who believes that God is Our Father can possibly learn of this father who put his own child in the microwave, and still believe that God the Father is love, and yet would also have anyone go to a place called hell is beyond me.

It is unbelievable that anyone would be able to even be dismayed at what this man did and not be completely undone at the thought that God would put folks in hell!

And what that man did in Galveston is an atrocity.

Well said, OD - this is *exactly* the problem I have with the idea of God as a "loving father" if he sends people to eternal torture.

My neighbour, born in the UK of Pakistani parents who are both devout Muslims, said she's no longer a Muslim because "I don't have a problem with a merciful Allah, but I do have a problem with the 'hell thing'"
