Of course, you can reject the future, next time you need surgery, tell em to hold the anesthetic, and give you something to bite down on, because you like it old school....

Do you which class of people in the US commits suicide the most?
You're thinking "Veterans", it's farmers .
Farmers in the US commit suicide at twice the rate veterans do.

People are happy in the big city, it's the best.
The most important factor in happiness, is our connections with other people, we are social animals, without society, we wither and die miserable.

A big dense city provides us with the environment that is most likely to provide us with meaningful human contact.
That's why people love it.
Either full on or full off.

You defeat yourself.

As of Oct 10 2017, CA DMV shows 43 accidents, 13 of the them being the autonomous cars being rear ended, so one has the imagine about the other 30 accidents. Many people that I know of in the the SF Bay Area, especially those living or working in Mountain View CA (home of the autonomous Google mapping cars and the the experimental delivery cars have witnessed minor accidents that has gone unreported.

You and goober are talking about the coup de gr‚ce by Hamiltonian Federalism. Get the f**k outta here Jefferson....
Let's not conflate self driving cars with microchipping. I'm as cynical as ever, but even I can recognize that its counterintuitive for self driving cars to be unsafe for your average person. The power of profit overrides most other forms of malicious intent, and aside from software backdoors which the deep state can use to force inconvienent persons to have a happy little car accident (something which would be found almost immediately by underground techies pretty quickly), it's a relatively tame tech. I wouldn't worry about it too much.
