Here's some 'tech" that u didn't know about

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MwDbCZqnl5M (the "fire roll". done with a chunk of T shirt and rust from the Cold Steel shovel

how to keep a fire banked all night.

you dont have to have the notches in the wood, you can just have notches between sticks, or on the end, in case of the top of the spindle

This knowledge can prevent your having to waste one of your 10 picks for the Alone show on a ferrorod. There only has to be ONE fire from scratch. After you have one fire, you have ashes, charred punkwood, etc, that make it easy to light subsequent fires (if you ever need one, which should never be the case when you stay in one place.

with the ashes, etc, kept dry in a bag made of the duct tape and your gaiter, you can easily start fires with any hard, sharp edged rock and any carbon steel tool (the shovel or the replacement blade on the Crunch multitool

Duct tape is amazingly useful stuff. It will help you start fires, after a small piece of it is shredded. Since you only have 60 yds of it, use it sparingly. The pants of the rainsuit can swiftly become a pontoon for your raft. So can the camera case and the backpack, or chunks of tarp. Just stuff the various containers with dried debris, sew them with the straigthened -out fishhook and inner strands of the paracord (from the clews of the hammock) or a piece of fishline, and seal the seams with the tape

The sleeves of the rainsuit swiftly convert into water containers, when you have tape, cordage and some sense of how to properly use your resources. Fowler spent an entire DAY making a wooden water bottle, which held ONE lousy pint of water. In 2 minutes, the sleeves of the rainsuit jacket can carry a gallon EACH of water. You can swiftly make chaps and a poncho out of chunks of tarp.
