There is a very serious gender bias everywhere already. Made worse that when the overwhelming cases of sexual assault/rape are against women, but we still have people who dont believe it. Or worse, cover it up or cry about the very small number of false claims, etc.

No thanks, dont try to rope me in with that shit.
Lyzza,

I am not attempting to set up a 'gotcha' moment, rather I am attempting to point out (what I view) as a clear ideological inconsistencies, in order to have you look at them from perhaps a different angle.
Thanks from Sabcat

@Lyzza

From my perspective, that is a large part of the problem

@Lyzza

? You just changed the topic.

There is a problem with the lack of universal standards, which ultimately puts one group on a higher pedestal then the other. Which, to my understanding, the claimed goal of 'feminism' is to tear down such pedestals to a generally equivalent level--no?
Thanks from guy39

I did not change the topic. The whole point is sexual violence. If there wasnt any sexual violence, then you wouldnt have those regs. That isnt the case, so yes women are fighting to level the field. You cant even see it, and it is obvious.

@Lyzza

To be clear; then, you are not primarily for 'gender equality', but for better (perceived) 'fair play' between the genders?

Ummmm, the more "fair play" the closer to some kind of equality we will have

Lyzza,

But, you have stated here two separate, very significant arenas where you think women should have favorably biased rules in order to 'level the playing field', as you seem to put it. Then, is that not the very definition of 'structural gender bias'?

For instance, consider 2 groups are going to participate in a 200 meter race, call them 'x' & 'y'. Now, 'x' is known to be notably faster, therefore, do we change the starting point for 'y' by moving it up a bit? Or, do we demand they begin at the same starting line? Here, you have taken the position that, yes, move 'y' up in order to 'level the playing field'--although, logically, this is certainly not 'equal' standards.

Ok, you are getting more and more lost. You cant even see past your own privilege, which is typical. Whatever, i cant change your mind because you have no clue what you are even talking about.

This isnt a race. This is our lives. Not everyone starts off at the same point, or has the same advantages. Period.

Back to sexual violence, where women are by far suffering the brunt of this.....
