Cultural appropriation

Would this be me liking to eat Dandelion greens, because my African American/native Great aunt would cook them for me when I worked on their farm

Or that I like Pinatas at parties because Hispanics in my community brought the tradition to my area

Or me wearing black loose fitting clothes in the Summer because the Kurds in my area showed that it will keep you cooler in a beating sunlight.

is this what you mean by cultural appropriation?

If Christianity broke away from Judaism, How is it that Jews were not counted as Caucasians for such a long time - from Biblical (Talmudic?) days. & there are still people who don't count the Jewish as Caucasian.

Jews Arabs and Hispanics (for the most part) are Caucasians.

Meaning the US, I'm sure.

Germany is a relatively late entry in the list of countries in the World.

As for British-Americans (that's a new one to me) - I doubt the Irish, Welsh, Scottish, Celtic (& probably more, these are just the ones I remember offhand) would agree to be so cavalierly assigned an identifier. If they were that soft, or attached no importance to their self-identification, they'd not have stood their ground.

A more nuanced answer

In the US? I would say the English speakers - which (now) includes the Irish, most Scottish, most (?) Welsh. & of course, that includes a lot of other people (settled by UK) & other people whose education included English - whether as a foreign language or not.

& as the World wised up to Western Civilization's attractions, lots of people seem to have figured that speaking/reading/writing English was a good thing, or @ least a salable skill. & so English is widespread in the World - in some ways, in a Cargo Cult kind of way - but flattery is flattery, however inspired.

In the early US? Well, the Irish were/are great ones for irony, for sure. & poetic license, & the sheer need to yield in reality, while maintaining the inner life. It lead to real problems with drink & myth & romanticism, & family life, & faith & the Church, & projecting the inner reality out into the World - typically in the world of letters.

But still ... tragedy & good & evil ...

When has Ireland ever been a dominant culture?

Normal racism is boring. I was once on a sort of picket-duty in the RAF, and all nine of us happened to be 'Welsh', so since we couldn't possibly have names, we had to be Taff 1, Taff 2, Taff 3 and so on. It is worse, though, when the Master Race call their sons 'Dylan'. Dylan Thomas was such a groveller that he couldn't possibly learn a few words of our language or pronounce his own name, correctly with the result that all these kids use our spelling to write 'Dillon'.
