It's getting to be time for a rewrite.
Keep the good parts, and toss out the ridiculous, and reorganize with an eye to efficiency, and to what's really important, which is ordinary people's lives.
Money has always been a problem in a representative system like ours. The U.S. is no exception. That's where the courts can make a difference. The amendment process is cumbersome and limited in scope, but the federal courts have the power to make sweeping changes without trashing the entire Constitution. Sadly there are those (such as Kim Davis and her avid supporters) who refuse to recognize the judicial role in keeping the Constitution updated when the need arises.

Well, with cacon he still wants total control of your bedroom and women's bodies but that's another issue.

But, ironically, woman having control over her own body some how magically ends when its time for tax payer funded birth control pills or subsidizing planned parenthood with tax dollars. STAY OUT OF MY VAGINA! PAY ME FOR MY VAGINA!
Confusing?
Oh, well.

What works is a mix of government social engineering and markets.
A regulated market economy, regulated to keep it honest, and regulated because people and their welfare are more important than money.
One thing the government does extremely well is social insurance, it does a much better job than the market. So the basic pension, health care, disability, unemployment insurance are best handled by the government.
Cars, TVs, jeans and spaghetti squash are best produced by the market.

And taxes should be set to cover spending, and we are not spending enough on a whole lot of things right now, although there are things we are spending way too much on, we aren't anywhere near optimized government.
You do realize this is contrary to everything the founding fathers subscribed to??....They were acolytes of Edmund Burke, John Locke and Baron Montesque... Adam Smith and Alexis deTouqueville would also scoff at this nonsense too...

I love it....the hypocrisy of the left...A woman has the right to do with her body as she pleases, but if she goes to sell her services....Ohhhhhh No you don't!!!

Because the US is not a nation state.

We could split the county in half or you could go start your own country if you do not like the principles this country was founded upon.

Or you could leave, no one is stopping you...

The principle this country was founded on is that the people could make it whatever they wanted to make it, nothing is written in stone, nothing is permanent, it can all be changed, if the people want to change it.
