It'll be extremely difficult, but I like challenges.
I used "if" to get a rise out of you. My enlisted friend in the Navy got accepted to Annapolis and graduated. He told me boot camp was nothing compared to the Naval Academy and I believed him. He was the gun director officer when under heavy fire by a gun much bigger than ours. His famous words "I've got them on the flash", meaning that he saw the flash of the big enemy gun deep within the woods. We put the gun mount in rapid fire, exit one big enemy gun.

edit: The big enemy gun had been harassing big navy warships to keep them out of the DMZ area. My Destroyer who was standing alone, mission was to draw fire from the gun which we did many times and not supposed to shoot back. The Air Force was supposed to bomb the gun by seeing the flashes. The Air Force did not show up and we were more than a little pissed. We asked the Air Force why did you not show up, reply clouds were too low. But the Air Force did not tell us they scrubbed their mission until after the fact.
Thanks from locke23 and coke

I am not seeing that in him. I used to be an officer in the US Navy. I think Locke is putting his education of Military history to good use. It's also nice to get some perspective from a young man who is not just some punk.

Locke, I am old enough to be your grandfather; however, I believe we must always nurture the youth who will lead in our near future. You seem to have above average credentials (and maturity) in that regard. Just keep in mind there is a lot you must learn from life experience too.

Yeah it was funny when we first showed up at RMC. We thought we'd seen it all 'cause we'd been to Basic Military Officer Qualification (BMOQ), but the older cadets were quick to put that to rest. FYOP (First Year Orientation Period) was half as long as Basic but about 100 times worse.

Of course. My father is the wisest man I've ever known. I asked him once how he knew so much and he said that no matter how much he read, it didn't mean much until he gained life experience. It's not one or the other he said, it's the combination of the two that makes someone wise.
