Congress Buys The Navy $400 Million Pork Ship

The extra ship, which is part of a program with an estimated life-cycle cost of at least $45 billion, is just one in a long list of armaments that Congress is about to force the Pentagon to buy against its willófollowing an annual ritual that routinely pads spending for the nationís defense by billions of dollars and sometimes gives U.S. soldiers equipment that doesnít work or they donít need.

yeah, but it costs the government like $1200 to procure a folding chair so they are limited

Well, come to think of it, I do recall reading somewhere that the C-35 folding leg-less and seat-less chair program has been delayed due to some technical issues, of which might explain the still standing army.

One of the ships the Navy didn't want is now in its open sea testing, it is so unstable it is not known if it can withstand rough seas without capsizing. More taxpayer money wasted.

Isn't it amazing and ironic. The very congress that we elected to stop the run away spending is shoving this ship down the navies throat.
