Dhs definition of “terrorists.”

Quote:
DHS DEFINITION OF “TERRORISTS.”

The Department of Homeland Security has released a new report entitled “Hot Spots of Terrorism and other Crimes.” On pages 11 and 12 it describes any Americans that hold traditional patriotic values as “potential terrorist.” By now, unless you’ve been living on Mars for the last four years, you are aware that “Obama’s” DHS head Janet Napolitano once declared American Servicemen and women returning from Iraq and Afghanistan to be the “true terrorists.” Well, now they’ve expanded their definitions of who is a terrorist to include you and me, and our Founding Fathers. Here is the list:

One. Americans who “are Fiercely nationalistic.”

Two. Americans who are opposed to Internationalism and International organizations such as the UN.

Three. Americans who consider themselves to be “anti-global.”

Four. Americans who are “suspicious of centralized federal authority.”

Five. Americans who are “reverent of individual liberty.”

Six. Americans who are jealous of their right to own guns.

Seven. Americans who want to be free of arbitrary taxes.

Eight. Americans who believe there is “a grave threat to national sovereignty and/or Personal liberty and/or that our national way of life is under attack.”

When the Patriot Act went from introduced in the house the signed by the president in just 4 days, (talk about not reading it) and people like me expressed worries about losing our freedoms, everyone said, "if you're not a terrorist, you have nothing to fear"

When Bush and Gonzales created "enemy combatants" right out of thin air with absolutely zero legal basis, and people like me expressed worries about losing our freedoms, everyone said, "if you're not a terrorist, you have nothing to fear"

When we started rendition, literally snatching people off the streets and out of their homes, and people like me expressed worries about losing our freedoms, everyone said, "if you're not a terrorist, you have nothing to fear"

When they open GITMO (and the 14 other not so secret CIA prisons) and held people without trial or any sort of due process, and people like me expressed worries about losing our freedoms, everyone said, "if you're not a terrorist, you have nothing to fear"

When they started warrant less wiretaps of American citizens, and people like me expressed worries about losing our freedoms, everyone said, "if you're not a terrorist, you have nothing to fear"

Now that half the people on this very board might be classified as "terrorists" do you think people like me are still just a bunch crying liberal pansies ???? Or do you think that maybe, just maybe our concerns were legitimate ??
Thanks from RNG, Sabcat, coke and 1 others

Bush and Gonzales did not creat the terms or concept of "unlawful combatants" or "lawful combatants." They were created under FDR: Ex parte Quirin, 317 U.S. 1 (1942).

I did not have a problem with the Patriot Act as a temporary mechanism, but needed to be modified at some point to protect Forth Amendment rights. The FISA courts and their rubber stamping search and surveillance requests would have made King George take pause.

Well of course they were, in the opinion of King George & Assoc.
Any doubt that King George would have happily hung those men in that painting had he caught them?

One man's freedom fighter is another man's terrorist.

Hell, I'm not even going to go to the DHS web-site and look for this document.
You people are as gullible as children.
