As Patton is quoted:

Spoken by George C. Scott in the film Patton.

(My emphasis - from https://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/George...ird_Army_(1944) - which says this is a misattribution. But it has a nice ring ...)
Clara was pushing putting women in Combat, when studies shows they are more likely to come back in Flag Draped Coffins than make counterparts.

War is not a Social Experiment.

Another archaic bullshit gender role thing we have not yet shrugged off. One of so many.

You'll notice he doesn't offer links. When he used to, either they were from LeRoy's School of Biblein' and Barberin', some RWNJ site or the odd time he linked a reputable source the source itself would prove him wrong.
Thanks from Lyzza and Clara007

Sure it is - it's a gigantic gamble with the future of the nation @ risk. Just ask the Imperial Japanese Empire after WWII (they'd been @ it for quite a while, too. Probably their early successes against Korea, Manchuria, China lulled them into thinking the rest of the World would be a similar cakewalk), or Nazi Germany or Fascist Italy after WWII, or the Ottoman Empire after WWI, or Germany again, with Austria, the Russian Empire. Or the USSR or the Warsaw Pact after the Cold War.

As for women in combat - it depends. There are lots of MOS that require good comms, fast response, coolness under pressure - arty, tank or Bradley commander/crew, MLRS, organic AAA & on & on. Comms & intel are also apt to come under fire - it's just the nature of the beast. Fighter pilot, chopper pilot - & women tend to do better under high G than men anyway. & by the nature of childbirth, women can withstand pain & stress better than men - if I remember correctly.
Thanks from Lyzza

If pilots can't handle the intense maneuver, they're at major risk during flights that encounter high G-force, Hearon said. Women traditionally had more trouble with the maneuver than men.

Hearon and colleagues outfitted women with newly designed anti-G suits to see if that helped. It did, and the women surprised the researchers by performing as well as the men.

I have no problem with women in combat.. if they volunteer they have every right to be there.. BUT THEY DON'T NEED TO BE THERE IF THEY ARE NOT PREPARED...

That is why MINIMUM STANDARDS FOR WOMEN AND MEN should not be LOWERED BECAUSE THE PERSON YOU DEPEND ON IS NOT MEETING THE STANDARD NEEDED

as I said. WAR IS NOT A SOCIAL EXPERIMENT
