Expanding on se7en's post, you spend, cut taxes, stimulate the government, force the fed to cut interest rates and guess what?

Click on the tweet twice to get the full image of the Bloomberg and Trump messages.

And what happens when an economy on speed crashes?

It crashes big. This lying SOB president and his rich buddies love crashes, make their big bucks on the pain and suffering of millions of little men and women, some of whom are his staunchest supporters.

Oh come on, Boys! Let's make egg nog out of the rotten eggs, says Washington Examiner:
Christmas in August: Trump delays China tariffs for ornaments, sweaters, mittens, and Santa beards!
President Trump said Tuesday that the White House was delaying implementing 10% tariffs on some Chinese goods in order to not disrupt the fall and winter holiday shopping season. Later that day, the U.S. Trade Representative's Office showed just how hard the Trump administration was trying to maintain Christmas cheer when it revealed that the tariff-free items will include such goods as Christmas ornaments, sweaters, mittens, and Santa Claus beards.

The White House is set to enact tariffs on $300 billion worth of Chinese goods on Sept. 1 if the U.S. does not reach a deal with Beijing before then. The USTR announced Tuesday that it was removing some products from the list based on "health, safety, national security and other factors." The tariffs for those items will not go into effect until Dec. 15.

"We’re doing this for the Christmas season, just in case some of the tariffs would have an impact on U.S. customers," Trump said later in the day.

So, Bully Boy backs down to Prez Xi?? The great negotiator.

The economic gurus on the CBC (our NPR if you wish) drive-home radio show are saying this does look like Trump backing down.
But Trump coming back to wrap it with a nice, bright bow! Now the Cult will jump and shout--PRAISE Jesus. Trump has saved Christmas! See how he loves the little children.

I'm not sure basing foreign trade policy around Christmas shopping is the best idea

does this mean we won the War on Christmas?

also I thought consumers don't pay the tariffs anyway?

poor trump. trade wars might not be as easy as he thought.

At this point, it doesn't matter. China cut all our agricultural trade off. The deal is done and we most likely will never get it back. We have shown that we're not worth the effort. Other countries like Russia, are loving it though.
