update on farmers' situations
and it's not pretty

Hey, I'll bet all those lost dairy farmers are small-time operators. Bigger farms are more efficient, some say. Small farmers stand in the way of MAGA. Clearly.

saw this MLK quote posted earlier and it still rings true today with regard to this issue

Whenever the government provides opportunities in privileges for white people and rich people they call it “subsidized” when they do it for Negro and poor people they call it “welfare.” The fact that is the everybody in this country lives on welfare. Suburbia was built with federally subsidized credit. And highways that take our white brothers out to the suburbs were built with federally subsidized money to the tune of 90 percent. Everybody is on welfare in this country. The problem is that we all to often have socialism for the rich and rugged free enterprise capitalism for the poor. That’s the problem.

I wish I could say I feel sorry for the farmers...but I don't. Every farmer I personally know is a Republican, and a lot of them rabid Trumpanzees at that. Nearly all the "farm states" went for Trump, bigtime. I WANT them to suffer for their foolish votes. I want them to remember, when they are standing in line at the welfare office, that they were doing pretty well until Trump came along and they foolishly gave a conman their confidence.

How can you feel sorry for people so full of hate and so propagandize, they continually vote and root against their own interest? Hillary was campaigning on job retraining for coal miners, but no, they must have their job back. ANd now they are losing their job, coal isn't coming back. And yet, they are so deluded and brainwashed that its always democrats fault.

I'm at the point of, screw these people. THey have been assholes for a long time, and they show no empathy for anybody else, now they want us to feel bad for them? They fight against min wage increases while more and more people are not making livable wages.
They fight against workers rights, but god forbid their job is affected, OMG, goverment must do something. It's all me me me

Sorry, but a lot of those farmers are also in Illinois, and we're blue. It's hurting them too, a lot. I would rather our farmers not stand in line at the unemployment office.
