What we know is that a letter written by a woman regarding something that happened when she and Kavanaugh were in high school has been forwarded to the FBI for investigation. This is serious enough the judiciary committee postponed the vote.

Given the complete disregard for normal procedures, or anything approaching due diligence, this postponement is remarkable. The closer we get to midterms the more problematic this becomes.

Fake, how did you determine that?
Feinstein alleges she received the letter during the summer from Rep. Anna Eshoo, who received it from an anonymous and nameless individual from Stanford University who will not reveal their identity. Feinstein is on the judiciary committee and never mentioned the letter or questioned Kavanaugh about the letter. Feinstein sent it to the FBI to imply that Kavanaugh broke a federal law. The FBI passed on the charade. It is a last ditch stall tactic.

Kavanaugh heads toward confirmation as Democrats' objections overruled
  • Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee quashed a number of motions from Democrats on Thursday and set a date for the committee's vote on Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.
  • The committee's vote on Kavanaugh, technically delayed a week, is now scheduled for Sept. 20 following a 11-10 vote along party lines.
  • Kavanaugh's nomination will be considered by the full Senate later in September. Republicans hope to confirm Kavanaugh before the start of the Supreme Court term in October.
