Let's have the federal government suck trillions more out of the private economy and bring it to Washington. Let's also put an entire industry's worth of employees out of work. Finally, let's empower a rotating band of Republican and Democratic political appointees to make every health service pricing decision in every medical facility of every town, city, and state in the nation.

What could possibly go wrong?

So, trickle down works with corporations, but a government taking money from the whole country and spreading it around to doctors, hospitals and related entities across the country is making the money disappear?

Corporations hide money offshore, governments don't.

FWIW, the location you list on your profile could not be more appropos.

Back to the topic at hand, you do raise an interesting point. When it comes to "spreading it around," meaning resources, what on earth makes you think a collection of GOP political appointees will do a better job at it than a market?

It's worth remembering, that should Liz get in and establish MfA the law of the land, it's only a matter of time before there's a change in party in Washington and the Republicans take complete control of your healthcare.

I have historical backup to justify stating that should some future government try to screw with it after people have had exposure to a decent mfa system, it would be political suicide.

Yes, just imagine. Some future President with all the flaws of Trump or GW Bush choosing the man or woman who will ultimately decide which of your family's needed treatments are covered and which are not.

Safe in the arms of Big Brother.

Well, then don't create a system that would allow that. What a ridiculous boogeyman you are trying to invoke here.

Take a look at all the mfa systems around you. None of them have a politician making that type of decision.

But would it be any worse than having some accountant or actuary who was an employee of an HMO making that decision?

I'm with you on most of that. But abolishing the health insurance companies, I could care less. They money hungry, greedy POS money brokers. That's all they are. The medical professionals could do a better job at operating a nationwide insurance plan that the government or the insurance companies could.

I hate to tell you this bro, but most people can't afford a tax increase. If the left was soooo dayum concerned about the lower class, how in hatez can they afford to pay more in taxes. The middle class can barely. But that's because they're sucking on their employers for their health insurance. IF a MFA system was put in place their taxes would be higher than their part of their insurance premiums.

Warren says not so. We saw it here when the universal healthcare system was installed. Yes, the tax went up for some people, but really not that much. And the ones who had private insurance saved that money. Companies that provided insurance saved that money.

It worked out great. It's funny, your doomsayers stole the words from the doomsayers we had back then.
