In politics, neither side gets everything it wants, but both sides get something they want.
Of course. But lately one said has been getting almost all of what it wants, while conceding little, if anything. That changes now.

That's not the point! Democrats who have their hands out - taking large donations and IOU's for future compensations are beholden to the same sources of money that Republicans unabashedly devote themselves to.
The Dems caved in because their large donors told them the shutdown was bad for business...their business!
Unless dedicated progressives take control of the Democratic Party and shut down the casino with real, honest campaign finance reform, it won't be a democracy of the people/but will only work for the wealthy business interests!
