Sen. Cory Booker introduced a sweeping criminal justice reform bill on Thursday. The bill, known as the Next Step Act, builds off of the reforms included in last year’s landmark First Step Act. Booker is the first 2020 presidential candidate to put forth a detailed plan to amend the country’s prison system. He often cites the statistics that the U.S. has 5 percent of the world's population but 25 percent of its incarcerated population.

Underlying many of Booker's points is a belief that it's possible to create bipartisan consensus, even while the partisan divide in America seems to grow ever wider. Booker said that the lines that divide us are nowhere near as strong as the ties that bind us. When we join together and work together — we will rise together.

Booker is in my lower half of potential democratic candidates in 2020.
1. He's the Nicholas Cage of politicians. Whenever he speaks it's the most dramatic thing happening ever ever ever you've ever seen.
2. Between 2011 and 2017 he took in over $350K from pharmaceutical companies, then in 2017 he voted no against a bill that would have allowed for easier import of prescription drugs from Canada, which would have reduced drug prices. He's argued that he wants to make sure drugs from other countries are safe, as if Canada is putting out unsafe drugs.

Boring.

We need to destroy Trump in order to save us all from Hitler.

Then we have to destroy capitalism cuz it's immoral and destroying the planet with carbon emissions. In fact, we only have 12 years to do so or else!!

Now that's excitement!

Cory needs to get a clue.
