McConnell’s puzzle ain’t Rubik’s Cube:
"Schumer may have an attendance problem as he looks around to see who's in town when they're not in Iowa and New Hampshire, and we do apparently have a lot of Democratic presidential wannabes here in the Senate," McConnell said during an interview on Fox News. "It'll be interesting to see what they're up to."
McConnell: ‘We Have a Lot of Democratic Presidential Wannabes Here in the Senate’

Returning to the golden years of U.S. Senators controlling the government is what the wannabes are up to.
In 2008 the mainstream media (MSM) was determined to put a sitting U.S. Senator in the White House in an attempt to reverse the public’s low opinion of the Senate. Sitting Senator Barack Obama’s win gave the country government by senators. Two were long-serving senators; Joe Biden and John Kerry.
Sitting Senator Hillary Clinton followed the traitor John Kerry at State.
Joe Biden’s sock puppet, former Senator Chuck Hagel, was Secretary of Defense from 2013 to 2015.
In short: The years between 2009 and 2013 were the golden years for Democrats. In 2012 no Senator ran against the Chicago sewer rat:
For the first time since 1900, no sitting U.S. senator on either side of the aisle is running or considering a run for president, at least yet.

Lets face it, media kingmakers did not want the public reminded of the MSM’s agenda in 2008.
NOTE: The U.S. Senate has been the global government crowd’s most powerful weapon in their war against the country. For starters, it was the Senate that ratified U.S. membership in the United Nations. Beginning with the XVII Amendment in 1913, the Senate’s influence grew and grew until it reached a new high in 2008.
The United States Constitution requires that most senior federal officers must be confirmed by the Senate before assuming office. Included are appointments for positions throughout the federal government, for the Cabinet and subcabinet, for members of regulatory commissions, for ambassadorships, for judgeships, and for members of numerous advisory boards.
Obama’s senators were as much responsible for czars and czarinas as was Obama for appointing them. I firmly believe that Obama, Biden, Kerry, and Clinton, cleared every unconstitutional appointment with their former RINO colleagues in a Democrat-controlled Senate. By giving unconstitutional appointees authority under the table so to speak, Senate Democrats, and a few RINO, kept their skirts clean by not having to openly vote to confirm some of the foulest people Obama brought into government.
If you read the linked article you will see this:
During the final maneuvering of Congress to fund the government for 2011, the House of Representatives attached a rider to HR 1473, the Full Year Continuing Resolution Act of 2011, that specifically denied funding for several of President Obama's "czars."
Does the phrase “Too little too late.” ring a bell? In any event Obama signed the bill —— sort of:
Nevertheless, President Obama decided to create his own personal version of a line item veto, by signing the legislation while using a "signing statement," in which he declared his intent to violate the law that he was signing:
No one can convince me that the House and Senate engaging in their beloved bipartisanship could not rein in presidential power in that important area. They sure know how to work together when it came to sticking it to the public in everything else.
The following excerpt offered a pleasant possibility albeit unrealistic:
The Republican leaders of the House of Representatives should strongly consider immediately taking action to impeach the unconstitutionally appointed and unlawfully maintained positions of the Czars of Obama.

Impeach the Czars!
By Wesley Clark, MD
There was not a snowball’s chance in hell Senate RINO would go along with diminishing Obama’s power. It is absurd to think that Senators would eliminate a practice that gave their betrayals so much cover. The fact is: Senate Democrats led by then-Senator Harry Reid stood foursquare behind Obama’s czars —— not only support, but the concept of unconstitutional czars. By doing nothing about it since then the door remains wide open for future Democrat presidents, and future Democrat-controlled Senates. That is what McConnell should fear.
Finally, Democrats in the House were not shouting ‘Impeach everyone in sight’ back in 2011.
