You do realize that graph does not even go past 2016, right? Trump wasn't president during the time period that graph shows.
If you click on the link and then the chart within the link it DOES take you to 2018, Lee. Whatshisface's post didn't show the whole chart, but HEY! Throw him a bone. He likes chewing on all things Trumpian. Sort of like a baby's pacifier. Hear the sucking sound?

Looks like IT has posted the truth proving Trump is the Greatest President since at least Ronald Wilson Reagan.

Thanks IT..

Your fact checker is very biased, for example:

Trump
"The U.S. economy is growing almost twice as fast today as when I took office, and we are considered far and away the hottest economy anywhere in the world. Not even close. (Applause.)"

Fact checker:

"The state of the U.S. economy is strong, as indicated by last week's blockbuster jobs report. Employers added a better-than-expected 304,000 jobs in January. Since Trump took office, the U.S. has added nearly 4.9 million jobs. While that is slightly below the 5.1 million jobs added in the previous 24 months, job growth in recent months appears to be accelerating.
The GOP tax cut passed in December 2017, together with increased government spending on both military and domestic programs, undoubtedly contributed to faster economic growth. Forecasters disagree, however, on whether that faster growth can be sustained. The White House predicts continued growth in the 3 percent range for a decade. Other forecasters, including the Congressional Budget Office, believe growth will quickly slow, averaging less than 2 percent over the decade."

They didn't even cite Trump's jobs claim on jobs, which Trump claimed from election, which as accurate, dishonest. They didn't even fact check what Trump actually said about growing twice as fast, they went off on some obtuse tangent about future growth predictions.

GDP grew at 1.5% in 2016 and GDP grew at over 3% in 2018, that's the facts, Jack.
Obama did a good job in correcting the problems from the Bush Administration, apparently.

Fair's fair Clara.

The chart Libertine posted indeed goes well past 2016 to the 4th quarter 2018.

I don't think this forum software can do it.

The current full-time job surge began in the 2nd quarter of 2014.
The job creation rate peaked in 2014 and declined from there under Obama. That has reversed under Trump and the job creation rate has increased.

Year New Jobs
2009 -4,139,000
2010 863,0000
2011 1,652,000
2012 1,746,000
2013 1,486,000
2014 2,465,000
2015 2,014,000
2016 1,654,000
2017 1,937,000
2018 2,463,000

I would like the conservatives and pro-Trumpers here to imagine what Trump would be saying if the employment and GDP numbers were mediocre--
he would be blaming Obama. No president can change the economy in less than 2 years and likely 4 is typically necessary. This is an Obama economy, not a Trump economy. Trump trumpeters should realize that presidents do not create economies in their first term-- they inherit economies...

The Obamaconomy was a 1.5% growth economy like we saw in 2016, which was also the Obamaconomy's average growth rate.

So is that supposed to be an attribution to the antecedent role of Obama?
My question remains, who would be blamed if the first years of Trump were mediocre? I do not hear him taking credit for the stock market tanking in late 2018 as a good example and I think it is disingenuous and dishonest for Trumpists to attribute the economic improvement to Trump policies.
Trump has essentially nothing to do with the current economy. He does have a lot to do with the worsening deficit given the tax-cut for the rich.
