Four officers are dead, including three Dallas police officers and one DART transit officer, after two snipers opened fire on police at the end of a protest against nationwide officer-involved shootings, officials say.

At least eight other Dallas police officers were hit, including three that are in critical condition; three additional DART officers suffered injuries that were not life threatening in the shooting.

Dallas Police Chief David Brown released the following statement Thursday evening:

"Tonight it appears that two snipers shot ten police officers from elevated positions during the protest/rally. Three officers are deceased, two are in surgery and three are in critical condition. An intensive search for suspects is currently underway. No suspects are in custody at this time. We ask that any citizen with information regarding the shootings tonight call 214-671-3482. We will provide more information once it is available. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers tonight."

Like the NRA says, too bad their weren't any "good guys" with a gun in the area or this could have all been stopped.

All lies matter

All Lies Matter. I have been watching everything live on 2 stations. 1)They report that they had the suspect cornered. Then they reported there were no suspects in custody, but 2 snipers. Now it's up to 3 snipers. If no one was in custody, how would they know how many snipers there were?

They then released a photo of a black man and quickly they had to clear his innocent name.

I watched the Press Conference & read posts from protestors, even white protestors, who were there...and many of us are concluding that something is clearly wrong here.

Here's my summary from when I watched the press conference
-------------------

Dallas Police chief and that other man speaking, sure are CALM. How can you lose FOUR of your professional family, and be so damn calm. It doesn't seem like they shed one tear...their eyes are not even red & their voices aren't cracking.

But wait...they said they exchanged gunfire with the man in custody....how do multiple police officers exchange gunfire with a suspect and he's not even in the hospital? They couldn't shoot him at least once? He killed FOUR officers and your bullets somehow missed him?

And he just said the police department was monitoring social media to keep up with the protestors' plans before the shooting and so knew which protestors would be out there. Could that be when they came up with this plan to sacrifice their own & blame it on protestors?

So much video of the aftermath, but magically no video of the killings, even with multiple helicopters flying around. Where is the video? All those people out there with cell phones...and you mean to tell me, that the sound was captured but no actual video?

Ok, correction: looks like a far away very difficult to see video. How convenient.
Regular citizens manage to get police killing videos, yet hundreds of police out there with military tanks, 11 get shot and they somehow can't do what an average citizen does...and get a video?

And if there are bombs all over the place...where is the bomb squad? WTF. Where are the evacuations?

They just want to blame this on BlackLivesMatter, how about let's blame ‪#‎ALL LIVES MATTER‬ since all lives matter, you know

Oh and they are still "negotiating" in a garage with someone responsible for killing 4 officers and wounding 7 more. I honestly have never seen them negotiate with anyone who had taken out so many fellow officers.

Usually, they shoot to kill.

So they felt threatened by all these other unarmed black people and put 6, 16, and sometimes 41 and 110 bullets in them (real cases) yet, they can't put one bullet in someone responsible for being and active shooter and killing 4 cops and injuring 7 other cops and planting bombs all over downtown Dallas. Wow.

Ridiculous. Kill people for "resisting arrest" when they cell CDs or cigars, but if they kill 4 cops, that's not a good enough reason to kill them?

Interesting.

I would definitely consider this a form of terrorism.

May each of the police officers who were killed in the line of duty due to this heinous act rest in peace.
