Fox News Hosts Hate Obama's Free College Plan, And Their Reasoning Is Painful

During the State of the Union address on Tuesday, President Obama proposed a plan to offer two years of free community college to U.S. students.

While others have critiqued the president's plan for potentially high costs to states and unlikelihood of increasing the graduation rate, "Fox & Friends" co-host Steve Doocy had a slightly different complaint.

"Here's the thing that really bothers me about this," Doocy said Wednesday morning. "I made my final two college tuition payments about two weeks ago!"

And according to co-host Brian Kilmeade, this whole free college thing is just pointless anyway. I mean, it's not that hard to just pay for it. Right?

"If you want to go to college, you can get a part-time job and make that tuition payment even without a loan, which available to you, and even without grants," he said.

Sure. When you find a part-time job we can do on top of a full class load that will let us afford tuition out of pocket, let us know.
With talk show gabbing like this, it's easy to see why Fox viewers are the least educated Americans.

We have lost our low tech jobs to cheap Third World labor markets. The days of earning a living right out of high school are over. For those that forego a traditional 4 year degree, a 2 year degree in high tech manufacturing is the pathway forward. High tech manufacturing companies have refused to make the investment in apprenticeship programs. They want an applicant job ready from the start. If they don't receive enough qualified applicants in this country, they will look abroad to find qualified applicants. It's that simple.

Free College. Another share the wealth, socialist plan. Another expansion of an already over expanded government. Your right, this is painful, as well as pitiful. Anyone buying into this crap is brain-dead.
It worked for the Greatest Generation, my dad and millions of others went to 4 year colleges completely paid for by the federal government.

GI Bill Correct?

GI Bill was a benefit in return for service.

It was a SCHOOL VOUCHER PROGRAM.

So you support School Vouchers?

Where the Veteran can CHOOSE the Religious school he wanted to attend, or Private school, or State School he wanted to attend also.

So you are saying School vouchers is a great way to fund education. Well I agree

Yes, let high tech manufacturing go overseas because $6 Billion is too costly but keep pissing away $500 billion on the F-35 project that hasn't produced a single jet and is ill equipped to fight our 21st century enemies. BRILLIANT !!!!!!!

So why did the Democrat Congress and Obama give GE TAX FREEDOM (not reductions) while it was sending 1000s of High Tech Jobs overseas (Green energy jobs, and Medical Imaging Jobs)..

Please explain that.
