This for permanently altering someones life and possibly a death sentence. Intentionally.

If it were my choice, would I have chosen six months? No. I would have chosen longer.
But there are plenty of sentencing discrepancies which I don't agree with either. This type of stuff has always existed, but I guess you're just fixating on what you want to, dontcha...
For me, stuff like that described in this article has more weight and relevance, as it has screwed up more people's lives.
Regardless, six months is not "no big deal".
Here's the reality of the situation.
Regardless, I thought other cities / states being able to govern their own lives was supposed to be a right-wing principle in this country. You don't like it? Don't live there.
Funny how this always comes up with right-wing extremism, but things the right finds as extreme suddenly become a huge problem for them...
