How The Affordable Care Act Pays For Insurance Subsidies : Shots - Health News : NPR

The new health care law will provide around $1 trillion in subsidies to low- and middle-income Americans over the next decade to help them pay for health insurance

The money to pay for the subsidy must be borrowed or taxed out of the economy.

This raises the cost of Healthcare in the US from 17% of GDP to 24% of GDP in 2 years to 34% of GDP after 10 years. When you include the TAXES and the Interest on the 6.2 Trillion dollars of new debt created.

The article you posted mentions nothing of what you wrote in that last little bit, however it does say this:

Those provisions actually make the bill a net positive for the federal budget, the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office. By the CBO's accounting, Obamacare will produce a surplus. Gruber says the law will "actually lower the deficit by about $100 billion over the next decade and by $1 trillion in the decade after."
CBO says it reduces the deficit, you say it'll add enough deficit to create $6.2 trillion in debts, can't have it both ways.

CBO gives projections (estimate of cost) with the information that congress sends to the CBO. Congress did not include 280 billion dollars of annual cost in of the "Doc Fix" needed to shore up Medicare,

GAO Gives actual accounting costs.

GAO as the law has been Changed, Delay of the Empoyer mandate and the near 2500 waivers added to unions and some industries.

The Cost has jumped from 900 billion to 3,200 billion and increasing... and will increase again if the POTUS delay of the individual mandate is added to the cost.

REmember GAO actual accounting, CBO educated Guess..

GAO Report: Obamacare Adds $6.2 Trillion to Long-Term Deficit | National Review Online

you can click on the link to the actual GAO accounting found in the first paragraph.

So when someone quotes you CBO numbers, those are estimates that are 2 years old prior to the changes made in by the HHS and POTUS Executive orders.
