So I spent the whole night talking to my fiance about the future. We actually spend a little time reading this board and she was a bit shocked at how low the degeneracy has gone since the time she attended Columbia Law which was only 10 years ago. She came from a pretty poor background even for Japanese standards and understands the value of work and dedication. She was shocked at how the non-producers could even dare hate those who feed them and demand more.

So now she is head of legal in one of the biggest corporations in the world and is making high 6 figures and if she by next year get invited to be a board member that might be become 7 figures and with more stock options.

So this is what we decided:
In 2022 my last real estate project will be finished. Until then I will keep investing and the last house I own in America (Costa Mesa), I will refinance and let the leasers pay the mortgage and that too will be sold in 2022. It is a good move since interest rates are at their lowest right now.

After all is sold, including cashing out all my stocks. I will turn everything into gold bullion (1/4, 1/2, 1-ounce coins and bars.) I will exchange gold for cash whenever I need to and depending on where I can get the highest rate (jewelry shop, pawnshop, exchange depot, black market, etc.) I will also lend out money for gold in small sums of S50k and less.

Since I will no longer have any documented income, I will not have anything to declare and will list myself as a dependant to my wife along with her parents and our children if we have any, so she will be able to pay even less tax.

From there, my full-time job will be investing her money.

Well, it's not quite true that I won't pay any taxes since I will have a downstair run family business but it will be cash so it will kind of be up to me how much I can get away with not declaring. In fact, I believe I will set it up to operate at loss. And it will also double as my office.

My fiance is very excited about this plan for the future and I feel lucky to have her and luckier that she is a lawyer! I call her my Dragon Lady!

Freedom is good and owning yourself is freedom.

Awesome plan.

I think a libertarian nation is probably a pipe dream because of what you said in that first paragraph.

The Freeloaders, the Looters, the Pull Peddlers and the Feasters on the corpse of the free market were bad enough.

Now we have the Panic Pimps, bent on seizing this outbreak as an excuse to transform the country by taking away what little freedom was left.

So, it is left to us to take individual action as you describe.

You certainly are full of yourself. Can you ask your ”producer” girlfriend for me if her corporation has their hand out for a taxpayer bailout ? Pretty please.........

Yeah, I have paid way to much and have never collected. At one point, you just have to write off your losses and enjoy life.

What for? That company has turned a profit every year in its 150-year history. They are making tons of money because of the corona panic too and this might be their best year in decades.

No need, already gave you the answer. Why would they give out global bonuses if they need a bailout? silly.

The airline industry made $45 billion in profits since 2010. They spent almost all of it on executive bonuses and stock buybacks. Now they beg for another socialistic bailout. Short answer - because U.S. corporations privatize profits and socialize losses. Even the oil and gas industry have their hands out.

No idea about the airline. And she doesn't work for an American corporation. There are no bailouts even if needed.

So you're going to become the very thing you claim to despise ?? You're going to take, take, take, enjoying the prosperity of this country and continuing to profit from it while putting nothing back into it? It sounds like just another version of welfare to me.
