It would not appear photo shopped to most if it is.

Does it look like an explosion took place?

What is up with the discoloration on the bottom of the shiny portions of the damages metal?

Where is the second damaged vessel?
I have no idea about a second vessel. The damage occurred outside in as the photo depicts. I have no idea what caused the damage. Its aft of the rudder stock, you can see the rudder in the picture below the surface. The visible damage is way to far aft to even affect the stern tube. Most likely it is damage to the steering void space. Which if so, its a void that could be sealed up by tightening up the void space entry hatches. Its a good place to be hit if you want the illusion of an attack. It is also a good place to say its a near miss of one of the most vital places to hit a vessel.

It is a win win for the sauds. Higher gas prices for us and pressure put on their enemies and possible war in which saud and isreal would stand to gain much more than just money.

One of the largest oil reserves in the world sits in isreal and ownership is contested by iran and palestine. When one looks at the company that stands to be in charge of the reserves one can find real ties to the scum beating the war drums.

Under this headline:

Saudi Arabia Claims Oil Tankers Hit
by ‘Sabotage Attacks’ as Gulf Tensions Soar

I found this picture:

Looks serious. This was the pic's caption:

The Liberian-flagged oil tanker MV Sirius Star is at anchor Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008 off the coast of Somalia. The Saudi-owned very large crude carrier was hijacked by Somali pirates Nov. 15, 2008, about 450 nautical miles off the coast of Kenya. (Photo: U.S. Navy)

This is what we're dealing with. This is 2002 all over again. Onward Christian soldiers.......
I do not see any damage? The port forward bow region at glance looks like a gaping hole, but that is just a wave along side the hull.

Higher oil prices. Now that is a plausible idea, yet I do not see any big jump on the oil price.

Let's keep in mind, that even with US help and advanced weaponry, the hapless Saudis have not been able to prevail in Yemen, as the war now is in its fifth year.

Saudi oil tanker hit in Houthi attack off Yemen
Yemen’s Houthi group hit a Saudi oil tanker off the main port city of Hodeidah on Tuesday, the Saudi-led coalition said, in an attack that could complicate a new United Nations push to end a war that has killed more than 10,000 people.
...In a statement carried by Saudi media, the coalition said the oil tanker was in international waters when it came under “Houthi-Iranian attack” at around 1:30pm local time (10:30am GMT).
A coalition warship conducted a “swift intervention” foiling the attack, it said, without identifying the type of weapon used in the assault. “As a result of that attack, the tanker was subjected to a slight but ineffective hit and it resumed its naval course northwards, escorted by a coalition warship,” the statement said.
The media department of the Houthi-run Yemeni military said naval forces had “targeted a battleship belonging to the coalition in response to the bombardment of displaced people in Hodeidah”. It gave no further details.
The department’s text message was referring to an air strike by the Saudi-led coalition on Monday in Houthi-controlled Hodeidah that destroyed a house and killed 12 civilians from the same family, including seven children.

I heard on fox yesterday morn when they were first reporting this that prices were already rising from this even though it was breaking news.

Have no doubt that prices will reflect these actions on the ships and the pipelines being droned. Perhaps someone will make other moves to deflect the prices rising but it will have an effect.
