Interesting verse from the KJV

Well, God had angels and stuff, who also were quite enlightened in matters of good and evil. So maybe the implied meaning is that man has been promoted from a private to a corporal, still way below the might God general.

It's just that people are quite challenged by the daily life and hope that if God would just take away the burden of all those decisions and their consquences, they would live in a paradise forever.

And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:

This may sound borderline heretical, but in this verse, God says man has become as "one of us".

Does this imply that God is one of many?
Using the verbiage "one of us" does not imply equality to God.

I think it was said Biblically that man was made a little lower than the angels. That is not to say that these angelic beings are equal to God, especially since one had his arse kicked out of heaven.
