Is Gabbard really anti-war?

that's her central (and only) platform, but she's not really practicing what she's preaching

she's also not proposed any actual plans of "ending regime-change wars" if elected

and let's take note that she only wants to specifically end "regime-change" wars, she's not wanting to end all wars

"regime-change" is specifically referring to Assad. remember she secretly met with Assad that one time.

she still wants to fight terrorism, she says, so she's not necessarily wanting to end all wars

Gabbard has long advocated that the U.S. should focus its efforts in Syria on Islamist groups instead of ousting Assad. She introduced legislation that would bar the U.S. government from supporting groups allied with or supporting terrorist organizations, some of which are fighting against the Assad regime. Her views on Syria appear to align more closely with those of President Trump, who says the U.S. should focus its efforts on defeating ISIS.

I think she's changed this since then, to keep up appearances
but in 2016, the defense industry was her top 3 donor. with both Boeing and Lockheed contributing sizable amounts

in 2017 she announced she'd no longer accept money from the defense sector (after she already made $115k from arms dealers)

seems like convenient timing to me
