After careful review of the Democratic field of candidates I have finally reached my conclusion.....Nobody Inspires at all! Unless you folks manage to create something to be at least luke warm about you will hand Trump another four years and assure the end of our republic. I will vote for whoever the Dems end up with just to do my part but, you really need to kick it up a notch....actually several. Trumps minions are motivated and rabid, you folks are tired and napping.....this does not look good.

End of the Republic? Gosh, that sounds serious. Are you sure?

Obama was virtually tied with HRC at this point in time in 2008,
so he wasn't technically considered "inspiring" at this point

I find both Buttigieg and Warren very inspiring

Granted, I'm team Gloom and Doom too and am convinced the Dems are going to blow it and we'll have 4 more years of this national nightmare, but I try to search for a sliver of optimism when I can just to keep me sane

I couldn't agree more. Bernie's quick to smile passion is SO refreshing. I admire Warren's passion as well.

The rest of the Ds make me want to vomit, SSDD.

a lot of people are inspired to vote against trump no matter what, so we got that going for us too

but we do need a candidate who will get folks off their asses on election day
Right now, it's Trump himself who's working tirelessly to get people off their asses and vote against him.

Just think of the enemies he's made among military officers, and that's just the start. There are Republicans of integrity who, for now, are biding their time.

The existential question is more important in my view IT.....While I "hope" there are enough Progressives that agree with you, especially in electoral college terms, I'm not as convinced there are.

Does crossing your fingers help?

:)

It can't hurt.

Extraordinary challenges call for extraordinary solutions. The time couldn't be better for a democratic socialist. And let's be honest about Bernie's "socialist agenda."

Ever do any third-world shopping?

How much do you want for that nice blanket?

Oh, señor, it's pure alpaca. I'll let you have it, almost free, for $80.

$80? Oh no, no, no. I'll give you $20..............

Bernie is the $20 offer. His "socialist America" ain't happening overnight, but he creates the starting point for the final negotiated outcomes, like, Medicare for All. I think it's a sin that the richest nation on earth is too damned cheap to provide universal healthcare within its borders.

I'm not so naive to think Medicare for All is some slam dunk if Bernie's elected, but I do think he'll set us on the course.
