That's why it is important to separate the state and the capital. America is relying on business too much, I believe. We all know free market system suits our needs the best but the market is not able to control itself and tends to penetrate the state for extra profits.
When sensitive scientific knowledge, key to the lives and well-being of thousands American citizens, is endangered by moneybag's greed, we must protect equality by all means.

Since Citizens United, billionaires have that kind of power now. Science and innovation will be stifled to protect the financial interests of those that profit from yesterday's technologies.
